Much has been made of the demise of the Packers defense, and rightfully so. But these are not your fathers Bears, or even the Bears of 2006.

Green Bay ran the ball at will in the last meeting, piling up 200 yards on the ground. Chicago has given up 100+ on the ground in each of its last four games (not counting St. Louis who is no better than a CFL team at this point) while being held under 100 rush yards in each of those games offensively. This puts too much onus on Kyle Orton, who is not a capable NFL quarterback. He was able to make enough plays against New Orleans, but also had some mistakes at key times in the game.

Teams like Philadelphia and Chicago are on the outside looking in right now and for good reason. When the lights shine the brightest, these teams have a tendency to lay an egg. There has been talk by various people at different times this season about Philadelphia being a team to beat, but the fact of the matter is that they have won exactly ONE divisional game all season. Not good enough. Take out the two wins against Detroit, who everybody beats, and Chicago has just ONE division win as well.

The Bears have not three games in a row since 2006 and should keep that streak alive tonight. Take the Packers and the points...

Just a note....................

Just a note....................

Before the last Bear / Packer game i believe it was Jennings who said that their receivers believe they
can score at will on the Bears judging by what the Bears have done on film...........................

I'm stayin with the Pack.......................but no biggie.............

Nice write-up. I too subscribe to the train of thought that teams with the pressure on to get in the playoffs are somewhat disadvantaged against the unmotivated teams, and love these scenarios.
