Where it is real F ing COLD
Well in my first thread I edged the Steelers due the fact that they were more battled tested against superior teams.. Even though I still think that they have I have changed my mind.... and have gone with the DARK SIDE!!! EFF ME!

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY:facepalm:

Green Bay's defense will give Big Ben more fits than what the Steelers can do to Rodgers. Steelers will not run the ball on the Pack and they can get to Big Ben and lock down the receivers. In retrospect the fast turf plays a BIG part in this game.. And going through all the games.. Green Bay has NEVER TRAILED BY MORE THAN A TD ALL SEASON.. WTF:shrug:

This pick is killing me but after a week of non football and thinking my gut tells me GB wins.. They can exploit Pitt and I don't know if Pitt can do the same.. Add in this... You guys know how much I love the Vikes and hate GB. I don't pick GB games wrong too often either but this GB win will be an icing on this VIKES horseshit season.. I am taking GB ml cause if they win by a point it is MAJOR DOUBLE WHAMMY!!

GB 27 Pitt 20

I will take the money loss.. GO PITT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know how you feel. I love betting on the Vikings, because if they win, getting the money eases the pain of watching them win. If they lose, I don't mind losing the money.

However, in this case, GB is favored, so you could end up middling yourself, if the Packers win by less than 3. Then you lose your money AND the Packers still win the SB!!!

BTW, I answered in the thread you sent me a while back (1-26-11, I think...)

One angle I think worth looking at is how the Steelers will play defense. Both sides will try to dictate the action, and I think LeBeau will have them prepared to push the envelope which ever way the Pack tries to play offensively. I don't think they can line up straight up and run the football that effectively on the Steelers. Have heard all week how people think the Pack will try to emulate the Cardinals 2nd half Super Bowl plan and go four wides to get people open in the secondary and pressure the Steelers extra backs.

I think this is a dangerous plan against the Steelers, however. If you don't keep in a TE or blocking back that can really block, the Steeler linebackers and blitzing safeties/corners will be much quicker getting to Rodgers, being able to come straighter in just off the tackles, and not being doubled or having to go further around to pressure him. While I respect the Packer pass rush and especially The Claymaker, I think Big Ben is pretty tough to affect too much, let alone bring him down successfully.

I think the youthful Steeler wideouts proved in the playoffs (speaking of the fast track) that they are very fast and can make the big catch. We know what Ward and Miller can do in big games, but to just award the fast track advantage to the Packers seems a little quick to me. The Steelers actually go deep more as a rule, the Packers succeed with yards after the catch more. I don't consider the Steelers to be a bad team in securing tackles, though, and will minimize the after catch yardage.

Two great defensive coaches, two offenses and QBs that can usually score plenty. Big plays capable of coming from players all over the field, on both sides of the ball.

I understand liking the momentum and value of the current Packers. I also don't discount how important the loss of Pouncey will be if he's really out. But I think the Steelers are being a bit undervalued overall in the matchup, and probably will go their way if I bet this one at all.

It should be one for the ages, I think. :0074

I should clarify why I think the fast track helps Green Bay.. No doubt Pitt has some fast receivers #17 cant remember his name maybe the fastest in the league but the Packers have the secondary to neutralize the Steeler's wides.. I know Palamaulo will be out there but I think Green Bay spreads em and takes advantage of the corners.. Don't think Pitt can match up if the Pack spreads where I think the Pack can match up defensively with just about everyone and against anything Pitt brings out there.
