Ok first off I'm going to this game as GT grad, and I've gone to or watched every Tech game this year. I've especially watched every Tech-Clemson game since the mid-90's, because it's my "2nd" school in the ACC. I have to admit, I love Clemson.. if you've ever been to the campus, especially on gameday, you'll have a hard time disagreeing.
Tech and Clemson traditionally play each other VERY tough. I'll post results later. It almost always comes down to a FG or last score. Last year was odd because Clemson seemed to have a way stronger team yet lost 13-3 in Atlanta after turning the ball over tons and missing fg's. A few years back Clemson was up over a td with about 3 minutes to go and Tech mustered 2 td's to win, the last coming off a fumbled punt and Calvin jump ball in the endzone.
My point to all this is in saying this game will be hard to pick. It didn't seem to me that the players liked Bowden much evidenced by their lack of hustle and focus. Ridding of him might help them. Of note is CJ Spiller is out for this game and Willie Korn is starting at qb. But Cullen Harper has looked so bad anything is an improvement, it also sounds like Harper and Bowden didn't get along.
Also, don't take too much into the GT result from this past weekend, we were down to our 3rd string qb who is not an option guy. Both Nesbitt and Jaybo will be available for this game, but Nesbitt hasn't taken a live snap in over 3 weeks and jaybo hasn't in 2.
So basically I wrote this all to say anything can happen in this game and I wouldn't touch it. If anything, when a total comes out, the under should be good. Tech's D is solid and Clemson's is also. I can see a 16-13 type game with either team winning.
Should be a blast and I cant wait to drive to Clemson to see all that tight blonde ass in orange. Us Tech guys appreciate that kind of thing available (in quantity) on campus.
