I'll let TJBELL answer this one, but from my perception of last season, it was a great $ making system. Many great cappers on here at HT and there seemed to be several trends.

Looking forward to this year.

Gl to all!

I made more half time plays than game plays last year especially on totals.

Somehow most teams are just unpredictable as to how they are gonna play.

Some of the points i have noticed are:

1. If both teams are playing horrible in the first half more often than not the trend will continue and Under for second half would be the better play.

2. If you are playing Dallas bet the OVER .. does not matter .. first five mins or first quarter .. half .. second half .. game .. . these jokers bet on the OVER themselves . .

last season had the Under. Looked like a comfortable win and then the bench players came in. And then some 8 three pointers in 5 mins .. with 5 seconds to go total was one point short of my Under.

Well with DALLAS LOSING BY 19 points the Jerk fouls intentionally to stop the clock with 0.8 seconds left.

two free throws and my $$$ is history.

3. I dont bet on the second half unless i have been following the game. I usually prefer betting second half on games where I can see the games live. This is because I wanna see the body language of the players etc.

4. Good things to help out in the second half are foul troubles - off night - injuries etc.

5. If game is a blowout the team with better bench will win. The winning team will take out all starters. The losing team may keep 1 or 2 starters and this may get more points for the losing team to bridge the gap.

6. If game is a blowout usually Under is the better bet. Players are not motivated .. bench players move in .. hopefully not that big of a running game with certain teams ..

7. Officiating : From the first half one can see how the whistles are blowing. Are the refs allowing physical play which may suit one team or are they calling ghosh fouls which may haunt the people in fould trouble early.

Regarding who are good cannot give u a straight answer.
Randercity was the best at half times as far as i can remember.
Nolan also chipped in at half times.

Lots of other cappers. Most of my second half plays are for same $$$ as regular game play.

Good luck Thunder. I wont be online for the half time plays in the earlier games. For the LA game will be online and hopefully we can get a winner.

Cheers !!!

Randercity was awesome (then he took a break), JT Sneaks, Nighthorse, Always Prayen, actually Thunder, there were quite a few. Good luck and feel free to chime in. we always start a new 1/2 time thread so we can all post in it. Best of luck this NBA Season! (like you need it) :thumb:

Gecko, Cherryblaster, spock, TTM$, the list goes on. (Sorry if I forgot anyone!!)

Shit, forgot Nolan Dalla. Seemed to stop by a few times a week, but when he did, he was :thumb: :Yep:

Dragon as well!!

Thunder this fourm has a lot of good half time players. I think half time wagers can be very profitable. I am going to start a database this year which may help us all. I am going to track how teams do in different situations. A few things that I saw and really liked last year.

Mavs over
Home games for Den under in the second half.
When a heavy fav is losing at half you can get a good value at half for them just winning the game.

Good luck this year and let me know if and when you need some half time stats , and maybe I can help.

I like halftime plays way more than playing a game or 1h. I think they are way easier to pick winners, and I make bigger bets on them... I have made a ton on football 2h plays so far this year, and NBA won't be much different.

I can't find any half time info as well. So I am going to start one this year. Let me know if I can help you after things get started.

Thunder --

I put as much or more $$$ on my halftime plays as the game. They've done very well for me in hoops.

A couple of things I've learned:

1. Start checking Oly for the 2H lines a couple of minutes before the actual end of the half.

2. If one team puts on a strong close to the half, like outscoring the other 10-2 or something, take that team for 2H.

Looking forward to your 2H posts.

I LOVE NBA HALFTIME.........It's a bonus that we make some coin. I just enjoy being in the thread. Usually very entertaining and plenty of laughs. Nothing better than a 10 game slate.

I lot of my plays were on certain teams. Always looked for Houston and Denver to get blown out in the first half (which was quite often). More often than not, they would cover the 2nd. I remember a trend last year from Swami.....Cavs 2nd half over 66% in second half or something like that. Don't really have those plays coming out of the gate cold. My idea going in is taking younger teams in the 2nd half.......the out-of-shape angle. Don't know yet, probably down the units for a while till some trends develop.

From your college 2nds, I'd say you would do quite well in here :)

Never a big poster myself, but i found the halftime threads to be very profitable last year.

The most important thing is bring on the information though. There are a lot of games being played, and there are a lot of posters, so if you are watching a game chime in and let everyone know what you saw. A lot of times that helped the cappers determine what to do second half.

Anyway, good luck to all this year. Let's make some cash.
