Greetings from Buffalo!

Does anyone have any opinions/recommendations about handicapping software or systems for handicapping the NHL? I am just getting into this and any advice from experienced cappers would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

Welcome

Welcome

Prestidig - welcome to the MADNESS that is MadJacks...:)

You had better beware - this place can be addicting...:nono:

As to handicapping - it takes time and knowing the teams...you can learn a lot about betting hockey by following some of the posters in the hockey forum - look at the top 10 or so in POD thread. And in general good wagering info is available from many of the guys such as Investment Exec, Nolan Dalla, Nick Douglas, Tiger and many others who are all excellent cappers...

Just be judicious and don't start betting hockey for real till you get a feel for it. Make some imaginary plays for a while, as you can do at some of the internet wagering sites, and see how you can do with their play money first...

Personally, unless you are planning on doing this full-time, all the info you need about teams, the league, injuries, etc, is available readily on the net - check out the resources here on the main page...and I don't think you need any software for that purpose.

Good Luck....IP:D...digging out of all that snow....

Ice Picks, I just noticed you are from the Capital of our fine Commonwealth! I was raised in Richmond and lived there my whole life until about 6-7 years ago. Great town. How are the Renegades doing???

I would echo what IP said. Not real familar with capping software or big on systems myself.

Hey Ice Picks,

Which is the best site to practice wager on? (Least painful to access and use) I use WSEX, but they don't have anything like that as far as I know. Thanks.

Renegades

Renegades

Sport Junkie - Renegades are foing OK - 19-19-6, Just came back from a LONG road trip. Lost to Cinci on Wed. in OT shoot-out.

Traded two of their vets Thursday for some size and hustle and fighting type players.

I am going to the game tonight against Florida, which is 21-13-4.

Its not NHL but they play good hockey, usually. The ECHL now has 4 divisions with a total of 29 teams...:)

Play for free sites...

Play for free sites...

NIGHTHORSE - I know of 2 that are pretty good sites for free playing with "internet money".

www.5dimes.com - This site also pays a great bonus for new and re-upping players. I think 50% for new accounts. They have a lot of props, and pretty good odds, and operate out of Australia, I believe.

and www.thegreek.com [Olympic] I just opened an acount here, and am starting to like it a lot. I works a bit different than what I am used to, but they also offer "free play"
