Hammer seemed to have his thoughts mostly on the Breeder's Cup next week..........His notes seemed a bit in disarray and comments were sometimes brief.
Perhaps there will be no early picks from him next week as he will be tied up with ESPN for Saturday's Breeder's cup show.
He is starting to like the NYG to get hot for the rest of the season, although he thinks the - 9/9.5 spread this week a bit high.
LAST SUN ESPN: 2-2-1
SEASON: 16-17-2
LAST WEEK: 6-2-1 *
SEASON: 37-34-6
*He claimed 7-2 for last week,I had 6-2-1. I must have erred on CAR + 3, probably was +3.5. We gave him a benefit a couple of weeks ago, this time to even it out, we won't.
THIS WEEK:
TENN - 3 Lean
PHIL/JAX PASS Looks like a lotta points, won't lay 7, can't take Jax.
ATL + 4 #1 rush offense vs. lackluster Cinn.
NYG/TAM PASS a lot of points to lay.
CHI/SF PASS
GBAY + 4 Ariz is a horrible road team with a lot of injuries.
K CITY - 3.5 He liked them alot more at -6 with Huard. SEA ATS: 3-5 in Oct, 3-9 on the road and 1-6 last 7.
N O - 2.5 N O strong at home.
SD - 9.5 ST L given up 8 sacks last 2 games.
PITT/OAK PASS I really couldn't figure out who he liked, so give him a pass.
NYJ + 2 Why is Cleve favored ? They are 1-5 with a bad secondary & they can't score. They are 5-17 ATS vs teams with a winning record.
IND + 3 Will score just enough to keep it close or win.
CAR - 5 Dallas changing QB and is in trouble.
NE - 2 Minn is # 1 vs the run. Brady 9-0 in domes, 16-4 vs NFC, 18-1 on turf. Edge to Belichek.
Looks like N ORLEANS, ATL and NYJETS for Sunday's ESPN show. Then maybe CAROLINA.
