Washington at Buffalo: Washington is coming off a loss to Tampa Bay and has to go to Buffalo. Redskins quarterback Patrick Ramsey has been sacked 21 times, while the Bills' Drew Bledsoe is at 19. The Redskins, though, have only nine sacks in six games, so Bledsoe should have time against the injured 'Skins secondary. Particularly if Eric Moulds returns.

New England at Miami: The New England-Miami series has been a real home/home rivalry with home teams covering nine of the last 10. For some reason, the Pats visit Miami early when its hot, and the 'Fins are at Foxboro in December as a rule. Such is the case this year.

Philadelphia at N.Y. Giants: Philadelphia and the Giants are chasing Dallas. Some are calling Philly-N.Y. an elimination game. The Giants have covered five of the last six vs. the Eagles at the Meadowlands. Donovan McNabb, who is playing with an injured thumb, and has yet to exceed 200 yards passing in any game.

Denver at Minnesota: Minnesota puts its eight-game winning streak on the line against Denver. Daunte Culpepper returns for Minnesota, while Steve Beuerlein subs again for Jake Plummer. Attention Steve: Minnesota has 13 interceptions.

Tennessee at Carolina: Carolina tries to stay unbeaten against the league's hottest quarterback, Steve McNair. Four of Carolina's wins have come by a total of 13 points.

Packers at Rams: Brett Favre's dome record is not good. On his last trip to St. Louis, he threw six interceptions. In fact, the Packers are 3-13 against the spread in their last 16 times indoors. The Rams should be fresh following their Monday night scrimmage at home with Atlanta.

Kansas City at Oakland: The unbeaten Chiefs keep finding a way. Oakland is giving up 164 yards per game on the ground. Fantasy players who have Priest Holmes should prosper.

Early Picks: Buffalo -3 over Washington; Tampa Bay -3 1/2 over San Francisco
