Now they play again on Friday..........which will make 3 road games in 5 days after having to spend the night sleeping on a plane after the Hornets win.........

then blowing a 20 pt lead with 5 minutes left in the 3rd:scared

and after all that they let Kobe get away with a win and no he realizes he has to get started earlier and screw this "getting his teamates involved mentality"......that thinking almost cost his team game 1............he will come out firing on Friday.........

Don't you think that is exactly what the Spurs want??? They were able to get by New Orleans by making them a one-dimensional threat and not allowing Chris Paul to get his teammates involved. Last series against the Jazz, Phil Jackson chided his team for simply deferring to Kobe, waiting around for him to make a play. If Kobe starts trying to win this series on his own, the Lakers will be lucky to win more than one game.

The beauty of this season has been the maturation of Kobe Bryant. The trust in his teammates is there. If he gets away from that, especially against a team like San Antonio, forget it. The series will be over.

Some of you who think the Spurs may be done after losing a 20-point lead last night obviously did not pay attention last series. The Spurs, more so than any other team, take it one game at a time. They need to focus on what put them ahead by twenty points in the first place. And they need an answer as to why they come out so sluggish in the third period of recent road games. That, ultimately, will be their demise. Still, this series is far from over.

This series IS far from over. But one thing to keep in mind, is the Lakers played like complete shit through 2.5 quarters last night. Game 2 tomorrow night is HUGE, I doubt the Lakers sleepwalk through the first half of the game like they did last night.

I also read where Phil Jackson is 40-0 in series in which he wins Game 1.

A tough loss to take but not the end of the world for Spurs. Keep in mind, the NBA is totally different from other sports. At the end of the day, Spurs lost Game 1 on the road and yes, did miss a chance to steal it.

I use the word "easy" loosely here....but its "easy" to get big leads and to come back b/c of such a short shot clock combined with momentum and getting hot/cold, etc. This isn't football or even college basketball where its a lot tougher to come back from so far behind.

It will be an interesting series. I see the Lakers winning in 6. Will probably win tomorrow night and then steal Game 4 in S.A...
