how Pittsbugh starter Anderson will react today off b/b 100+ pitches on 3 days rest. Here is what his manager had to say:



"Jimmy Anderson starts tonight on three days' rest rather than the customary four. "He shouldn't be as strong," McClendon said. "I'm hoping that will help him get more ground ball outs. He'll have more action on his sinker." Anderson this season is 1-4 with a 6.51 earned run average in five starts at PNC Park. In four road starts, he's 3-1 with a 2.03 ERA.
