Red Wings goaltender Dominik Hasek said he was ?a little sore? after practice Tuesday, and said his availability for Wednesday?s game against Calgary depends on how he feels tomorrow morning.
Hasek was hit above his right kneecap late in Monday?s 4-2 victory over Edmonton.
?Today, I thought it was going to be a little bit better,? he said. ?It's only a bruise, but it was a little painful. I?ll see how I feel tomorrow. The puck hit me right above the kneecap, where there is little spot, maybe about one inch, where you don?t have any protection. It wasn?t a hard shot, but it caught me in the right spot.?
If Hasek can't go - and logic would seem to dictate he sit out the game as a precaution - it would be Chris Osgood's first start of the season.
