anyone see the clip of the assistant trainer for the sd chargers on espn ?

this guy was taped up [hands and feet], sprayed with a hose, and then was held down and had his hair "shaved".

they totally f&cked this dudes head up. he will have to shave his head completly and start over.

you could hear him yelling something as the players shaved chunks of his hair off at the scalp.

does anyone else see a problem here. what kind of example are pro football players setting, and what is espn doing airing this clip as something "funny".

if i was that guy, i would be suing somebody"s balls off.

I'd rather sue for money, although an extra set of balls might come in handy about mid November.:D

my intent was not to get you all riled up ace, i just thought it was a little harmless initiation to promote togetherness, yes there is definatly other ways to do it, but some people are more primal than others.

and yes i should not of ASSumed anything about you, sorry for the little jab.

just disagreed with you, next time a disagree with someone i will just keep it to myself.

by the way i wrestled and played football in highschool also, wrestling was the best thing i have ever done, and most of the practices felt like hazing to me.

all in all i guess i came over a little strong and i am sorry:cry:

I saw a clip this morning of Coach Schottenheimer cutting the tape off of that guy after the haircut and they were both laughing pretty hard as I remember it. If Marty's laughing, I can't imagine it was much of a big deal. Cutting somebody's hair doesn't seem too severe to me, especially when appearance isn't really involved in his job description. Back in my younger days, people who passed out in my fraternity house used to get their eyebrows shaved off among other things. Of course, back then people didn't file lawsuits as much as they do these days, so maybe it would be different today.
For all we know, that coach told the squad he would shave his head if they could achieve some accomplishment, and they were just having fun before the shave took place. If it was a bunch of high school seniors doing that to a freshman against his will, that would be one thing, but these are all grown-ups and it really did seem like everybody was having fun. Much ado about nothing if you ask me.
