that teams traveling 2 > times zones win s/u 20% of the time. anyone got some statistical data to back this up?

That would make that Boise-UGA game more interesting. This is indoors and first game of the year, so I would think that this would have more impact once the season starts. Plenty of time for Boise to adjust, much like a bowl game.

edit: Stat would serve as an excuse for Hawkins beating UGA last year though

just checked. it was in Fedex Field. Still the 2 timezone difference.

I wouldn't put too much stock into that statistic but I see it used all the time in NFL capping

Yeah I guess that would fit the category... Add the humidity in too... BYU was beaten up last year at FSU 34-10 or 31-10 I think... I also did a write up on the BYU/Miss game in Interesting Week 1 Games
