Hey everyone
When does a middle become a good bet with value? For example tonight I have Oak -5 and Dallas +7.5. I think in the long run I would make money on this bet and that it has value because I win both on a 6 or 7 difference. My theory is that a middle is worth it when it includes two common loss margins in the NFL--namely 3,4, 6, and 7. So tonight it would say a middle is a good bet because the middle included 6 and 7.
Any thoughts always appreciated and GLTA

Was hoping some of our more experienced members could have helped A-train out here.

I'm also after middle advice so have joined the thread - having played the Under 36.5 a few days back, am looking at lines of 32.5 at the odd place and wondering whether the wise heads consider this a middle opportunity on over 32.5 ie what are the key numbers etc...

Thanks in advance...

Believe me, a-train...you've got the right idea. To me it's worth the price of the vig to take a shot with such a large spread around such key numbers as 6 and 7. Good luck with it, if that's what you decide to do. I'm certainly going to give it a shot.

Ooops, so sorry Anders...was so excited to answer a-train, I forgot to address your post.

Totals are a little more difficult to middle. And given that weather appears to be a factor here tonight, I'm not so sure about it...but then I'm not a big totals analyst. Maybe one of our other members would care to advise?
