Gibber, download the free, 30 day trial version of Spy Sweeper at the site Fletcher posted. I had been running Spy Hunter and Sweeper blows it away. I had the same problem not being able to get rid of crap and it got rid of it all. I will be suscribing when my 30 day free trial is up. Well worth it IMO. Good Luck

Install the latest version of spyspeeper @ www.webroot.com/downloads/ (Make sure to update the definitions)

Install the newest version of adaware @ www.lavasoftusa.com version 1.05, make sure you do the "check for updates now"

Run Adaware in safe mode (you can get into safe mode on most computers by hitting F8 while loading windows)

Fletch please don't call me stormie I can't stand it!

Gibber to get rid of yoursearcher.com
Open My Computer-->View-->FolderOptions-->View Tab>Advance Advanced settings box, under the "Hidden files" folder, select Show all files-->Apply-->OK Reboot into Safe Mode (hit F8 key until menu shows up)

delete

C:\WINDOWS\DLLHLP.EXE

run spysweeper and adaware in safe mode

it works for me using Windows 98se. If you minimze it, it will notify you of any intrusion good or bad. it will work like a firewall
please edit out that corrupted web site before some one ignorantly opens iit

Try this first:

Open your task manager, and look at the running processes. If there are any that you can't identify stop them. Don't worry, the computer won't let you stop things that would crash windows, Itell you it's necessary. If you can get spyware process stopped, THEN run Spybot and Adaware and when you get rid of all the files, you'll get rid of the process, too.

What you've been doing is removing all the files and NOT removing the executable (because it's in use) so it's just reinstalling itself when you reboot. That's why you're having little luck with it so far.
