Anyone know of a book taking action on the contender fight tomorrow night?

Cannot find one. Not even looking to place it there, just need the odds if you can find it? Few people want to bet it and i need a line?

all these books have american idol, big brother, the weather, lottery numbers, but can't seem to find a contender line yet. should be one as the fight is live and not recorded?

anyone?

fwiw, manfredo should be able to counter enough to win the fight, although it's really almost impossible to cap because the previous fights have all been edited. if he uses his jab to keep sergio at bay, he can win the fight. i don't think either goes down to a knockdown. anyone know also how many rounds its scheduled for? semis were 7, but i have a feeling this one is 10

any info appreciated. thanks in advance.

Heavy action is forcing oddsmakers to change the favorite for tonight`s $1 million dollar bout to be featured at 9 p.m. ET on the popular NBC reality show The Contender. Sergio Mora was slated as a ?130 favorite for the fight early Tuesday, but public money coming in on Peter Manfredo has moved this seven round tilt to a pick ?em at most online sportsbooks.

?The early money was on Mora,? says Peter Childs, oddsmaker at . ?We went as high as -130 on him, but the late money has been on Manfredo and we`re back at pick`em.

?That?s based on the fact that Manfredo looked so good in his final fight and we expect the public to be on Manfredo. We`re dead even on the fight.?

The line could keep moving as money continues to roll in on the much-hyped fight to be held at Caesar`s Palace in Las Vegas. The show`s popularity has translated into major betting dollars rolling in from bettors who might not ordinarily wager on boxing.

?Can you remember the last time a fight was live on major network during primetime hours?? Childs asked. ?I can`t. I expect us to write more action today than we do for a major Title fight.?

Manfredo, who was ranked the No. 3 junior middleweight in the world by the World Boxing Organization before the show began, lost his first fight of the competition to Alfonso Gomez Jr. However, Manfredo was voted back onto the show after one of the other fighters came down with the chicken pox. Since then he?s made the most of his second chance.

Still, he should have his hands full with ?The Latin Snake.? Mora looked quick and composed in dominating Jesse Brinkley in his semifinal bout.

"It is going to be attrition and whoever wants it more,? Mora told the Associated Press. ?He is Italian, and I`m Mexican. The two (cultures) are pretty paralleled in pride and confidence.

"I fought him in the amateurs in the National Golden Gloves, and I beat him. I just want to go out there and fight with a lot of heart and win. I know I`m not going to be beat."

Undercard: Jesse Brinkley is set as a big ?220 favorite in his fight with Alfonso Gomez, but preparation and motivation could play a big role in this tilt. Brinkley looked unmotivated in his last fight and has had problems with his weight throughout the tournament. If Gomez gets in a few heavy shots early and rattles Brinkley, he could end up paying out huge at +180

Thanks rex for the article.

I bet Manfredo at pick last night. Should have waited as pinn got hit with mora money and moved to manf. +120. Oh well.

From what i've seen of the show, all of it, the fights have been edited so im sure others know much more than me. Mora is the quicker boxer, but Manfredo IMO has a little more pop and a better jab. Problem is he sometimes forgets about it.

Manfredo definitely more seasoned haven fought in much bigger situations.

I don't care if i'm sharp or square, i'll bite with the public and take manfredo.

I wish i knew how many rounds it was. The longer rounds favor manfredo imo. Mora has never gone more than 8 and that was once. Manfredo has gone 12, 12 and 10 before. Interesting that manfredos one fight before they started taping the show was against anthony bonsante (the dad) and it was a 12 round unanimous decision for manfredo. Funny they never mentioned that on the show.

anyway, small play 300/300 manfredo
