HELP - What to do in Denver tonight?

I'm in Denver for business today and have this evening free before returning to Milwaukee on Wednesday.

If you had 1 night in Denver (and had never been there before), what would you do?

I'm trying to find things to do to "maximize" the Denver experience while I'm here...

the Avs are in town tonight, and now that the Avs suck and noone cares about hockey in Denver, you can good seats cheap. If you decide to go over to the Pepsi Center grab beers at Braun's before hand, there basement bar is a good time with lots of action prior, during, and after games. The casino's in the mountains are about an hour up the hill from Denver, and have low stakes, the most you can bet on table games is $5, and there is only $2-5 limit hold em games. Although, the Gilpin casino has a $60 buy -in no limit tonight at 6 and another tourney at 10.

I had found that, but to be honest, you can gamble anywhere (although I love it).

I'm with my business partner who is not a big gambler - so I was hoping we can find something to do that is more Denver specific and fun...

You staying downtown? There are several breweries that make some great beer. If you are downtown I'd suggest dinner at the ChopHouse and then drinks at Wynkoup. All within walking distance of the lightrail or bus that runs up and down the 16th street mall.

What part of Denver - DTC? I was there on biz last week and there is a high end bowling place I think it's called Lucky XX Strike or something like that. We had dinner there then headed to some place called diamond cabaret or something like that, however this was the most bizzare strip club I have ever been in. Maybe the locals can chime in.

Denver Botanical Gardens

Denver Museum of Nature and Science- tremendous gem and mineral exhibit as well as IMAX and a planetarium

Yes, we are in the tech center area.

Probably won't be doing the strip clubs tonight, but the bowling alley isn't a bad idea....

Just an FYI Dave Chapelle is sold out. Dead Prez you ever go to Mori's, I think just as good as SushiDen and not as swanky and overpriced.

If you are in the Tech Center, Denver has indoor sky diving located near the Park Meadows mall which is quite fun, there is also a rock climbing gym. The lightrail is running now from most I-25 stops straight to the Pepsicenter and Downtown if you want to get to the "city" of Denver.

Shotgun Willy's isn't far from Tech Center (strip club.) Cherry Cricket in Cherry Creek is pretty cool pub.

If all else fails rent a Hummer Limo
