Help with a IMAC and a sony handy cam

Anyone know how to transfer movies from the sony to the Imac.

I dont know much about this computer so i need some help

One word: Fire Wire

Ask a highschool kid.

It would take me forever to type it out.

Just copy it to a flash drive from your Sony computer and drag it to your Imac

I googled 1st and dont understand anything those boards said - Thats why I was asking here - figured someone had doen it before.

Your camera has a fire wire port. You need to buy a fire wire cable (IEEE-1394).

If your computer does not have a fire wire port - you need a new computer.

What I have just typed is 70% of what you need to do - the other is importing onto your computer via software.........

Call Apple customer service and they should be able to help you. You could also go by a local Apple store if you have one. My wife just completed a transfer of ours and Apple helped her through it.
