I'm using Internet Explorer 6 (w/ Service Pack 1) with Windows XP

On pretty much any page I go into, down on the status bar, it says "Done, but with errors."

Also I cannot click on a link within a page that is a Java popup, but regular links work fine.

If anyone is experiencing the same problems or knows a lil sumpin sumpin about this, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Billi by no means am I computer whiz but it sounds like your settings for your anti-virus software is off. Any chance you're using Norton anti-virus??

Go into your control panel and double click on "internet options", click the "advanced" tab and scroll down and make sure your java is up to date and "checked", if not go to Microsoft.com/downloads and download the latest version of microsoft virtual machine.

I am just guessing that this may be the problem, I could be way off base here since I am not sitting in front of you computer right now, but at least do the first part and check that some kind of java is enabled in your control panel.

In reply to penguinfan's post:

Went into internet options and did all of that, now somethings are working but I am still getting the error on page message.

Also, I have the latest Virtual Machine.

In reply to Vinny's post:
Yes, I am using Norton Antivirus.
I have Norton System works that includes Utilities, Anti-Virus, Cleansweep, Ghost, and Internet Security.

Any additional help from either of you would be greatly aprreciated.

Thanks for your input already.

this can happen if you are going through a proxy server or some software that is used to block pop up windows. some isp's have this feature turned on by default, or it can be configured through the browser.

do you remember downloading or activating any type of software that claims to block banner ads or popups?

It might be -- try deactivating that feature or the whole program and see if it cures your problem.

Atleast then you'd know what caused it and then could take steps to work around it.

Internet Explorer is telling you that the Web page loaded, but there were errors within the Javascript used in the site's design. (Javascript is software code that makes Web pages more interactive.) There is a lot of bad Java code on the Internet, so this is not uncommon. Having said all that, try this:

Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced Tab

Once here, look for 'Disable Script Debugging' and make sure the box beside it is checked.

Right below that, you'll see 'Display a notification about every script error' Uncheck it, and you'll be good to go. GL :)

In reply to Magitek's post:

I realize there is bad java on the net, however, I don't care if that shows up on the status bar or not. But, when I click on a link that uses java, the new pop up that should come up doesn't.

This is limiting my use of certain web pages, I need to figure out something to fix this.

Thanks for your help already and any more help would be greatly appreciated.

GO into your Norton anti-virus and set all your settings to minimal security. At least that's what did it for me.

If you have the latest version of Virtual machine then do what Vinny suggests and that should solve the problem, also it may be a good idea to clear your cashe memory from your browser, sometimes shit gets hung up in there that you wouldn't believe.
