It's these boys vs the world tonight their coach got shitcanned because they played lousy now they have a chance to show that they have some heart, win one for their former coach and get revenge against a team who ran it up against them in a bowl a few years ago. The Seniors at ND have done nothing in their four years and tonight they will go out winners. Ask yourself who has OSU beaten? Who played the tougher schedule? Notre Dame played a monster. I think OSU expects the Irish to lay down tonight. They will but not until the final whistle.
Nd 31- OSU 16

I like ND too, but the idea that this is a revenge game for guys who werent even on the teams then is somewhat ridiculous.

As for SOS, you are wrong there too. Pretty much every computer rates OSU SOS as 1 or 2 in the nation.

ND is 6 per college rpi.com, 16 per Sagarin.

90% of the players on the field tonight had nothing to do with that game 3 years ago.

that game was a combined, 5 head coaches ago.....

erickson, davie, ty, now interm nd coach and riley.

i dont think the revenge angle applies here.

If you guys say it must be so..

One of you actually replied to someone yesterday in the same arrogant fashion you always use that NY JETS did not need the game yesterday as they already clinched. Funny as I see they are not in the playoffs yesterday. I guess in your language pal you were wrong there too?

Well first it wasnt yesterday. Second, I said I thought "I believe" they had clinched if the results held and someone else said responded they ahd clinched. This was in the thread where several folks incorrectly said NE had nothing to play for. Third, it aint real hard to look up SOS. Fourth, if posting facts to correct incorrect "facts" is arrogant so be it. Apparently you either didnt know the Jets hadnt clinched or didnt care to help. Which do you wanna fess up to?

Regardless, as I said I like the play. Just think some of the reasoning is off the mark. Pissing on each other isnt productive for anyone. GL

You saying that my believing ND could use revenge as a factor as being rediculous, is not correcting incorrect facts it purely beinig arrogant saying your thought process is better than someone elses. Second if you want to depend on Sagarin and these other computers to determine who played the tougher schedule be my guest, but it is my opinion that those computer services are the reason college football is a joke. I also feel in my opinion ND played a tougher schedule.

In college basketball forum you bashed these very services for having certain teams ranked way to high, now you want to tell me Im wrong because these services are what you depend on?

As for not correcting you in the Jets issue, I try not to correct other peoples errors for them. It is not my place. Believe me I knew all of the playoff needs of the Jets on Sunday.

Now this is nonsense. I just don't need anyone to tell me my theories are rediculous. They can't be too bad as I have had quite a year by my standards, which are based on Cash.

Of course the computers are bunk. but that is where SOS comes from. I didnt realize it was the "CLemvision" criteria.

Let's see OSU - Cal, Boise, LSU, USC,Az State. And the conference patsies.
Nd - top 5 opponents USC, Michigan, Purdue and then I gotta reach - BYU?Navy?Mich St?Pitt?BC?

Common opponents, OSU played USC 23 points better than ND did, and both beat Stanford and Washington in comparable fashion.

Candidly it is pretty tough under any criteria ND played a tougher schedule, but if you have an explanation would be thrilled to hear it.

As for revenge, I fail to see how there is revenge for players who werent even around when it happened. But if you say it must be so. I didnt say my thought process was better - I couldnt as you didnt give one. Perhaps ridiculous was a poor word choice.

As for correcting people, I thought we were all here to help each other. Maybe I am wrong about that. How arrogant of me.

Forgot the tennessee win for ND. Certainly props for that, but still gotta give OSU the nod. 4 stud opponents and 1 good one, while ND had 2 studs and 2 good ones.
