ok, i was doin some thinking, and i see ALOT of parity this year in the baseball. ( which is ONE reason why my baseball record is very poor these last two months...)
here's my thought:
I'm predicting it should take about 90 wins to win a division, right?
all division leaders have won atleast 88-90 games to win their division over the last 3 years.
I see LOTS of first place teams that are only about ten games over .500
The way that i see it....these teams in first or close to second are gonna have to start making a run (ie: winning about 16 of 20 games) instead of this shit we've been seeing over the last 2 months....and we should be ready to ride that wave when it hits....
the problem is, when to find that crest when it happens.
so what i'm saying is that, keep a close eye on teams that are clsoe to first place in the next few weeks....should see some teams heating up.
conversely, i could be wrong and the fawking AL east division could be won with only 75 wins....
any thoughts?
