Hey Guys!!...question early 60s Gambling song title..

I need help finding a song title from the early 1960s

it was about a gambler named Savannah Slim

think was Gene Watson song.....not sure....might be flip side of a big hit???

refrain was something like...."everybody needs a hero.....Savannah Slim was mine"........

tried all links i know... no luck....so I am asking the smartest group I know.
