Definitely a nice win and probably smooth sailing for Texas to play USC. Funny, it looked like OSU figured Young out but he found a way to get it in the end.

Texas would be better off going undefeated and not playing USC in the Rose Bowl. Just like Auburn. Then they can be happy. The team I saw tonight would lose by 30pts to USC. You must score over 30pts to have a "chance" at beating USC. Good luck doing that against Pete Carroll. USC will have a mature/experienced D in Jan.

I'll set the line at Texas -4.5 over Notre Dame.

Not knowing the injury situation, my lean would be towards the Irish.
Texas will smoke ND I think ND is playing good but Texas will crush them.

This coming from the same guy that said Vince Young is a great athlete but an average quarterback.

Scott, you constant shilling for Pete is shameless. How about congratulating the Longhorns for a great win in a game that is sure to be an instant classic?

Haven't you all figured out that Scott's main purpose on this board is to shill out for Carroll and USC.

Also, he's an annoying little shit and disrupts the forums plenty!!!

Wasn't everyone TOUTING this game saying the WINNER OF THIS GAME was going to be playing in the Rose Bowl? THAT IS WHY THIS GAME WAS SO BIG! Isn't USC practically penciled in by the media to be playing in the Rose Bowl? They certainly ranked #1. So why not make a comment about the 2 teams who are now favored to make it to the Rose Bowl. Geesh. I was not off topic.

Vince Young is an average QB. Look at how he played. He easily could have been blamed for losing game for Texas with 2 INT's (one being STUPID). He is an exceptional athlete but I think he is stupid. He makes stupid mistakes repeatedly like BAD THROWS, HOLDING BALL OUT WHEN BEING TACKLED etc. Those STUPID plays can and will result in turnovers. Take thos stupid plays away and Texas prob. would not have had to squeak out a victory. Why can't Brown make YOUNG a fundamental QB? Sure he can run etc. But not make STUPID decisions.

I had no money on the game, but if I had Texas I would be pissed at YOUNG and if I had OSU I be thanking Young.

In case you missed it, Texas won and covered. I am not too angry at Young about the perfect pass he made in the corner of the endzone for the winning touchdown.

You have defended yourself on numerous occasions when accused of making all of your posts somehow related to USC by saying that you never bring up USC outside of your threads unlesss other do so first. This is another example of you doing just that. This thread was stared by someone who you have had numerous confrontaions with yet you felt compeled to come in and begin with the "my team is better than your team" drivel.

No one mentioned USC until you came in making comparisons between the two teams in a game that may or may not even happen and if it does, it will not even take place until January.

You refer to the Rose Bowl like it is a forgone conclusion that not only will USC make it there but that there is no question as to the outcome. It's a long season young man and it is not like me to begin to wish that a team loses a game just to shut up the incessant glossing of the team from one fan, but that is fast becoming the case.

Grow up a little bit Scott. You also have mentioned repeatedly that you enjoy debating handicapping opinions but I have yet to see you involved in a single "debate". What you do is argue with posters and there is seldom, if ever, a time when you will concede that perhaps someone else's opinion is just as valid as you own.

As wlmackey pointed out in your ?What did we learn this week?? thread,
YOU ARE SHOWING YOUR YOUTH!
I am confident that you would be much better received around here if you simply were not so anxious to convince the world that you know what you are talking about and showed a bit more restraint and acceptance for the opinions of others. It?s called growing up.

I don't have a problem with Sun Tzu. If he feels threatened by me, that is his problem. I don't worry about other people on a message board. He should put me on IGNORE list.

I give credit where credit is due. If I am wrong, i admit it. If I think I handicapped a game right and i lost, I'll explain why. Where should I have conceded an argument? If someone comes into my "picks" thread and tells me why he is against me, and he wins, I always congratulate them or tell them if they brought up good pts.

I don't want posters here to dislike me but I feel I have done NOTHING to warrant someone to loathe me.

To anyone who hates me or thinks I provide nothing beneficial to you, PUT ME ON YOUR IGNORE LIST! Problem solved! :)

See I look at the entire game. If Young didn't make those costly mistakes earlier, Texas would not have needed a great pass from Young to win the game. These were mistakes that were STUPID MISTAKES. Mistakes that never should have happened. I am also talking about STUPID plays he made that he got away with. Young is a veteran right? Heisman trophy candidate? Captain? I think I have a right to hold him accountable. Then again, this is my opinion. I would not want my QB playing with the lack of discipline Young plays with. Take away the INT's and OSU has no chance at winning the game and Texas would not have had to make the comeback. Isn't the idea to put a team away instead of help your opponent?

Media won't talk or bring this up because we all are suppose to praise Young and just focus on the amazing plays. I focus on everything. Young played average in a very big game. BIG PLAYS and STUPID plays = a game Texas easily could have lost. What if OSU converted TD's instead of FG's? Then what?

Then again, I am in the minority. I am not in awe of Young while most are. He isn't the type of QB I would want on my team.
