It was my interpretation that Bush 1 followed the rule of law and terms of engagement when not going all the way and capturing/killing Saddam. He asked for, and received approval for the US supporting Kuwait when it was attacked by Saddam. Our role in that was to get the Iraq forces out of Kuwait and attempt to weaken/prevent them from doing it again. At least that is what I remember. When it became an elective situation on how to proceed and what to do with the approvals Bush 1 was given, he decided to simply achieve the goals of the mission and stop. Personally, I think all of that (as I remember) was handled well and did a lot of good both in the world and for US prestige in the eyes of the free world. He had a strong coalition, maintained it, did not have to manufacture evidence or additional reasons for it, and the job was in fact accomplished. He had the support and respect of most of the world and even of liberals, as I remember. He had both from me, I can tell you that. Had he gone on and gone past the agreed on and supported mission...those things would have been a different story for many.

I beg you to look at all the money you have paid into SS I figured mine out by the time I am done working I will have paid $260,000 in SS by the time I retire it will be 67 for benifits if its not all ready I dont have a chance in hell of recovering even half of what I paid in.

In a private account not only am I getting all of my 260,000 back but I am getting interest as well over a $100,000 in interest to boot not to mention I can will it to my next of kin . The fact is we have all been robbed for years on SS and privitizing it would put an end to it

Close Chad but not quite right ...the part you stray on is after Kuwait was taken back, and we pushed them back to Bagdad ...this action created civil unrest with the Kurds ...they began to rise agaisnt Saddam thinking the US would help knock Saddam out of there while we had everything mobilized .....Well we had to go through the UN to do this and the Liberal Appeasment bastards that they are voted against it ... They said our mission was accomplished and we could go no further ......At that point Bush sr should have flipped the Liberals and the UN off and finished the Job .....Instead like a bunch of lemmings we retreated and had to watch 200,000 kurds get killed by WMD's you know those WMD's that Saddam stopped making because now he is a kinder more gentle Saddam
