The world hates it, but congrats to the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS, 2002 AFC CHAMPS!

Just like '85 and '96, we shocked the world.

We're going to the SUPER BOWL BABY!

I hope today was profitable for one and all!

Now for the very best in Super Bowls, Go Eagles!

:toast:

Good Luck to all

ps. Note to Steelers, better cancel those reservations to New Orleans tomorrow!!! I'll tell you what, I'll help you out and give you 1/2 of whatever you paid for your advance deposit! :D

I think your talking to me :)

Your sooooo right, AND if St Louis wins big, we can look forward to lots of points next week :D

Pats never give up.....its not pretty......but they play like a TEAM.

I thought Pittsburgh called an awfully conservative gameplan that didn't help them at all......see ya next week with more Pats tidbits :)

OK, I'm sober now...

OK, I'm sober now...

Now we have a big problem. I sure would have rather seen Philly in the Super Bowl that St Louis. That would have been great to see two REAL, traditional football teams slug it out, leaving all their guts, heart and glory on the field rather than the NFC version of the Harlem Globetrotters. This whole season was layed out for the Rams with all those indoor exibitions that they get to play during the season and all through the playoffs.

I sure wish this was going to be an outdoor game the way it's SUPPOSED to be played. Instead we get the artificial environment which caters to gimmicktry and specialization on offense.
(Like a Monster Truck show!)

The Pats are a lot like the Eagles, so I don't know if they can stay with the Rams in a dome for a full 60 minutes...Outdoors on grass I think they make a game of it and possibly win.

I'll need at least +14 to take the Pats here, and I'll never forget how the local guy I was using at the time boned us all in '96 by moving the line down to +13.5 locally while the rest of the country got +14.5, and we all know what happened. I'll never fall for that again...

Anyway, enjoy the game!
