i'm not so sure about the comparison...

The Sunday Times January 21, 2007

Sarah Baxter, Washington

HILLARY CLINTON is to be presented as America?s Margaret Thatcher as she tries to become the first woman to win the White House. As she entered the 2008 presidential race yesterday, a senior adviser said that her campaign would emphasise security, defence and personal strengths reminiscent of the Iron Lady.

?Their policies are totally different but they are both perceived as very tough,? said Terry McAuliffe, Clinton?s campaign chairman. ?She is strong on foreign policy. People have got to know you are going to keep them safe.?

Clinton, 59, used her website to announce that she was taking the first step of her campaign by forming a presidential exploratory committee. ?I?m in. And I?m in to win,? she said.

It made the New York senator the instant frontrunner for the Democratic nomination. ?She has the name recognition, the money, the glitz, she?s got it all,? McAuliffe said.

If she wins, she will return to the White House where she spent eight years as first lady during Bill Clinton?s presidency from 1993-2001.

McAuliffe predicted a rough campaign. ?She is going to fight for herself and she is going to have people around her who will fight,? he said.

?They are going to play mean, nasty and dirty on the other side. You don?t walk into a knife fight without adequate gloves.?

The Clinton campaign intends to paint the Republican nominee as President George W Bush?s political heir, particularly over the war in Iraq. ?George Bush is going to be on the ticket whether they like it or not,? McAuliffe added.

Clinton said she would talk to voters about ?how to bring the right end to the war in Iraq and restore respect for America around the world?. She also hopes to appeal to women voters in their twenties and thirties.

Clinton faces strong competition from Barack Obama, the charismatic but inexperienced 45-year-old Illinois senator. The race is already being billed ?the magic v the machine?.

you fox bashers are pretty funny watching it so much. Can you please refer us to a link where they said they expect 30-40 million more voters?? That seems quite absurd to me. Thanks.

Yep I like all these Fox reporters that somehow forget to put up the link or post article.

Will be interesting if Bama goes on Fox network--if so would venture it will be on Greta's show same as Hiliary where they are assured softball questions.

Richardson has been on Oreilly numerous times for years and again this week--apparently he is confident he has nothing to fear--which I like--and Bill was quite complimentory to him last night.

Biden is another whose not afraid to debate issues with anyone and has been on Factor several times.

Will be interesting to see the fur fly when Soros camp digs up stuff on Hilliary and Hilliary's camp on Bama

Best thing about obama is Soros and Moveon crowd will will burn more money again--been fun watching their drain of assets for almost a decade.
--and as I said previously I believe Obama is 100% unelectable--firmly believe if he would get nomination there would be less than 5% variation of his votes whether he ran Hilliary as VP or Marion Barry(former DC mayor) he will draw same voters.
He has absolutely no experience--and would carry only the liberals and their 90% backers--would get zilch from moderates-independents.

--What I would like to see is Republican candidate pick Lieberman as running mate. Seriously!

Fake and Imbalanced republicans

Fake and Imbalanced republicans

Maybe they don't have a link on every detail that they report:

BUT it was discussed on the fair and balanced Fox news station.

Maybe it's not true, but that's Fox News ? I can't help what their reporters say. They say a lot of things.
They were metioning it as an information note mentioning before you think that she can't win pay attention to the statistic first.

But they mentioned women voters and minorities.

I know it's more important to impeach a man because of a BJ.

i hardly watch the news anymore because it either pisses me off or depresses me.

but i also find it amusing that people are always knocking fox news....like they are prevented from watching news on a different channel. i tend to stay away from something that i don't like.

65...

i tend to think that pujo is making that number up also...but i do think her nomination will bring out more voters...but from both sides...there are an awful number of people who dislike her as well as like her......i also think this election will be the nastiest to date.

AR

please define nasty.

how could it be any nastier than what we went through with Gore / Bush.

that whole florida chad thing was the worst thing I have ever seen in politics. We are still paying for that one.

Not that Gore would have been any better than BUsh. Gore is a bigger idiot imo.

YES,

I confess, i made these numbers up. I didn't hear it on Fox News. For those who are amused??:142smilie LOL..i don't really have any reason to make these things up. I don't want to get into a pissing contest because i can't proove that the Fox reporter said it. But if i heard it on CNN, would that make a difference for some??

Who cares who reported it ? It's just a statistic that was mentioned. But i made it up for amusement purposes only.

I find it interesting that all i did was quote a Fox reporter and somehow it is translated into Fox Bashing????????????

Anyway, if someone were too bash FOX NEWS, this means that they shouldn't watch it ????

I simply can't manufacture a link for every sentence that is said on the news. I didn't know there are links for every sentence said on the news.

is there suppose to be a link for every single sentence said on the news????

And just because it was said on the news doesn't make the statement true--

Maybe i can dig up some Gibson links.
