State Dept. audit faults Clinton for email mismanagement

The State Department watchdog accused Hillary Clinton of breaking federal records rules while secretary of state, in a forthcoming report that faults her and her predecessors for poorly managing email and other computer information.

Fox News has obtained a copy of the State Department inspector general audit. The 78-page report says the department and its secretaries were "slow to recognize and to manage effectively the legal requirements and cybersecurity risks associated with electronic data communications, particularly as those risks pertain to its most senior leadership."

It cites "longstanding, systemic weaknesses" related to communications that started before Clinton's appointment as secretary of state.

But the report singles out Clinton?s failures as more serious.

It specifically accuses her of violating department policy by not giving over emails when she left office.

The report says: "Secretary Clinton should have preserved any Federal records she created and received on her personal account by printing and filing those records with the related files in the Office of the Secretary ... at a minimum, Secretary Clinton should have surrendered all emails dealing with Department business before leaving government service and, because she did not do so, she did not comply with the Department's policies that were implemented in accordance with the Federal Records Act."

The review came after revelations Clinton exclusively used a private email account and server while in office. Clinton is now the likely Democratic presidential nominee.

The audit comes as the FBI is thought to be nearing the final phases of its own investigation into Clinton?s email use as secretary of state.

On another front, Romanian hacker Guccifer ? who recently claimed he breached Clinton?s server ? pleaded guilty in federal court on Wednesday to separate hacking charges.

Under a deal struck with the federal government, he has agreed to cooperate with federal authorities in the future. The plea agreement does not mention the FBI investigation of Clinton's email practices or his claims that he accessed her private server in March 2013. Such agreements typically do not stipulate how a defendant will aid the government.

Ummmm. Maybe you guys didn't read the entire article or maybe you're just choosing to ignore the facts, I'm not sure. The actual findings did not say that Hillary Clinton's acts were any more egregious than previous state department officials. Colin Powell didn't hand over all emails, Condoleeza Rice didn't either. Jeb Bush continues to use a private email server and exchanged emails with his brother during his administration, he didn't hand over any emails.

I get that you're not liberals and I have no problem at all with people voting the way they want to, I really don't.

I am truly looking forward to the weekend of September 9th when hedgie, myself and bleedingpurple take in a game and enjoy a good time.

What I don't understand is the hatred and vitriol eschewed upon anything and anyone not Republican or conservative.
Be unhappy your party isn't in the presidents office all you want but to make derogatory comments about a guy's wife, kids, his faith when he is the president of the country you live in is just fucking wrong. It reflects poorly on our country and on your self. I'm a proud American and patriot. If I was still in the service under Bush, I'd have fought in Iraq without question. I may not have liked it but I wouldn't have degraded the office or person in charge. I'm just saying. The Clinton's aren't perfect but Bill did some dynamite things as president. This crap, the fake conspiracies, is all hypocritical bullshit. You're slinging any amount of mud you can, regardless of truth or accuracy, at a wall hoping something sticks. How does that help elect the person must suited to move the country forward?

Do you honestly believe that strict conservatism is the best and only way to keep the United States at the forefront of international powers? It just astounds me sometimes, but it is whatever.

I will say that I have noticed hedgerow is not nearly as boisterous on the topic as he used to be. He doesn't like Trump either. That gives me hope. Lol

I'm not going to argue about it. You guys have been investigating the fucking thing for for fucking years and you still haven't come up with a single fucking thing that she did anything wrong that hasn't been done for several administrations.
You may think people other than republican zealots give a flying fuck about it, but they don't. It's just you guys. The reality is you guys don't make up enough of the population for your fervor to make a difference. I don't understand and will NEVER understand the willingness to believe in something so much that you'd throw common sense, reality, and truth out the window just to follow an ideology that has consistently failed, egregiously, time and again. Every single time trickle down economics had been tried by your boys, we go straight to recession. Both Reagan presidents, Ron and Nancy, had despicable foreign policy.

Fuck it, it doesn't matter. Republicans will get beat like a drum this election, and they deserve to. They're so fantastically far out of touch with modern society. How you can possibly support a party that did everything they could except what they're elected for, give themselves raises for not working, and threaten the safety of its citizens by shutting down government is so unbelievable to me, it's hard to wrap my head around. I mean you figuratively have to ignore every and all truth to even sort of support them, it's almost cult like.

I know you don't like to respond to these type posts, and there isn't really a sound response to be had. I mean, come on bro, Sarah Palin is a leader in that crazy ass party, for fucks sake bro. Miley Cyrus is more respectable.

the so called party leaders started this downward spiral August 29, 2008.

one can only hope that an equally funded third party can emerge during these 8 years she is in office and the election of our nations leader come down to knowledge,leadership and foresight with a trace of self containment in that following election.

Couldn't agree more. Really is sad to see. I do think Hillary is capable, but I believe that based on the fact she brings Bill back to the white house.
She's certainly more experienced than Nancy Reagan was, and it's fairly evident that she was the president most of his second term.
Cracks me up when republicans say how great Reagan was. I guess they forgot how horrible he was at everything except speeches. He also formed the heritage foundation which authored the affordable care act (cue mags on the vehement denial of this, even though it's almost word for word). He believed in immigration and even gun control, not abroad of course being that he sold guns to every terrorist group he could.

Oh well, I digress. If I say any more, a republican may read it and their head will explode.



Well, not really. I don't know any that will actually take the time to research the facts, most likely I'll just get told how stupid I am for being wrong, even though I was an adult marine that lived through his presidency.
