Clinton's plan is comprised of four main pillars:

? Offering new coverage choices for the insured and uninsured and guaranteeing quality coverage;

? Lowering premiums by removing hidden taxes, stressing prevention and increasing security by ensuring that job loss or family illness won't lead to a loss of coverage;

? Promoting shared responsibility among individuals, providers, employers and government, and forcing insurance and drug companies to end discrimination based on pre-existing conditions and price gauging; and

? Ensuring affordable health coverage for all by providing tax relief, limiting premium payments to a percentage of income and strengthening Medicaid

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I see she still hasn't learned anything about about fundamentals of insurance--

Lets see you can pick any coverage you choose and no pre existing conditions.

I might suggest to you all to take the lowest coverage at smallest premium--if your diagnosed with anything with projected expense--upgrade your coverage to best--then when expenses are gone down grade it to lowest level.

Also don't see anything about ratings for smokers or imaired so I assume it might be like her 1st plan--healthy pays same as unhealthy--

Both these are examples of adverse selection--same shit they pulled in Ky's minmicing Hilliary's healthcare reform plan in 90's.
All companies with exception og BC BS pull out of KY. Risk exposer was too great--but Hilliary's tells you it will save cost :)--and also wants you to believe gov can run it more efficiently :yup

---and shes going to FORCE ins & drug companies to do what?:mj07:

Yes she has not learn that insurance companies are in business to make as much as they can. They care less about heath care cost as long as they get rich. Only way to get control is. Get other big business to work with there employees to force prices down. Our larger companies to be competitive with other countries need to start some place. When places rated as high or higher then our health care, such as Brazil, Switzerland, Singapore,Thailand, and even China is closing fast. With savings like heart by-bass for 20000 when it 70000 here. Hip replacement 14000 when its 44000. And yes many American are starting to go. So to say everyone comes here is not right. Some rich Saudis do.

This is a easy fix

This is a easy fix

Why reinvent the wheel? Find out which country has the best universal healthcare system and model ours after theirs. American greed won't let this happen.

Spy im not to sure what will be the bigger stumbling block with this situation. Greed or the nitwits who are conned into thinking that universal health care is a bad bad idea. These pigeons might be even more dangerous than greed.

I see that you know at least as much as Hilliary on healthcare anyway.

A: most states require guidelines on Ins co rate increases per profit/loss of companies previous year.

B: when you have several companies competing for consumers $ they will keep rates as low as feasibly possible--ever hear of free enterprise/competition--it works.

--and other countries rated higher on healthcare?--
ask your self this question--how many foreigners come here for healthcare--how many here go elsewhere.

Sorry DJV but you been watching too many Micheal Moore docs.

Last numbers they had were for 06. Over 750000 Americans went over seas for care. And most of there insurances were glad to pay for this because of huge savings. And please don't tell me insurance companies are held in check here. Last time I looked they were not under government control. Find lets leave every thing as it is. Lets let more companies move over seas to avoid these cost. Lets have more small business not able to get health care. That way we can have more folks with out insurance. That way all of us with insurance can keep paying the higher cost that causes.

You think you are buying American products ? I bought Johnson & Johnson & colgate... these product were made in Italy and Mexico. soap from Italy tooth past from Mexico. We don't make anything in Our Country anymore. Health care coast is a major reason. Most Americans probably think when they by these American named companies they are buying American . We are being duped. We need to start calling these 800 #'s on these products and tell these companies I want my tooth paste made in America. The packaging is misleading. They tell you who it's distributed by, they don't always tell you where it was made.

whats the Bush heath care Plan for VETS ?
Plan? Oh yeah, the dirty little side effects of Dubya's glorious war. The plan WAS to let them waste away in unkempt corners of Walter Reed. Some unpatriotic freedom-hating liberal found out how bad that was though, so Bush had to pretend to be outraged and come up something better.

P.S. I believe the the leading the leading medical tourism service agency in the U.S. 200 patiients in 06 was a tad off your 750,000 mark

Medical Tourism Lists Service From America

Medical Tourism Lists Service From America: "edRetreat provides Americans with free comprehensive programs to receive medical treatments abroad.

Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) January 5, 2006 -- Medical Tourism is definitely a viable option to exorbitant healthcare costs in the U.S., especially for uninsured or underinsured consumers. Much of the attention of this new industry has been focused on the hospitals overseas. However, “before a medical tourist departs the U.S. to their chosen destination, there are a host of issues to consider,” states Patrick Marsek, Managing Director of MedRetreat, LLC, the first U.S. based Medical Tourism Service Agency.

CONSUMER BEWARE! Overseas surgeries should not be attempted alone, without the guidance of a non-biased agency that has performed an exceptional amount of due diligence about the process. All aspects of a successful medical tourism model must be known by anyone seeking this alternative.

MedRetreat has invested several hundred thousand dollars, and, two years of research developing a successful program to offer medical tourists a safe and pleasurable experience. After assisting over 200 clients, MedRetreat is launching a nationwide campaign to attract and service North American consumers interested in receiving their medical procedures overseas.

“To ensure the best interests of our clients are satisfied, we invest approximately 35-40 hours of time with them during the process” claims Marsek. “You are not alone in the process from the time you initially contact us, until you return home from your trip. And, the best part, our services are completely free to our members. We receive compensation from our overseas partners for our role in the process. We have negotiated a 20% discount from the hospitals due to high volume patient flow. We keep 15% and pass 5% along to our members. So, in essence, they will receive a better price than if they tried to do this alone. It’s a no-risk opportunity…and a win-win situation for all concerned.”

MedRetreat offers 183 procedures in cosmetic, dental and general medical surgeries to eleven destinations in seven countries around the world.

MedRetreat continues to be the leading medical tourism service agency in the U.S.

Here's a idea to pay for healthcare

Here's a idea to pay for healthcare

Let's have a national lottery every week, start the jackpot off at 50,000,000. After a few rollovers it would be over a billion dollars.

Tax the rich and the corporations, those with off shore accounts who do business in the USA.

Get rid of the practice of borrowing money from the Federal Reserve, let the government print it's own interest free money.

Get out of Iraq, this here alone saves 10 billion a month, put this money into a healthcare fund.

Start a healthcare system that takes care of you so a few years down the road you don't have to sell your home to pay for the bill.

Sponge If you get a job you won't have to worry--suffice to say your for anything beneficial to you -someone else is paying for.

On your deficeit--I have a job for you--when was last year the U.S. was not in debt.

Maybe if you have to look up answers, you'll have some retention.
