Still in awe that we are living in a time when the race barrier is broken no matter what people say.

so you're saying we shouldn't break that barrier?

I'm all for breaking barriers with capable people. But not for breaking them for the sake of breaking them. I think Obama is viable. But I'm glad Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton weren't the first elected. Same thing goes for Palin or Hitlery. Hopefully we get someone more of the Condi Rice caliber, Margaret Thatcher, or Angela Merkel.

Not some floozy mayor from podunktown Alaska who believes men once rode dinosaurs to work the day after the earth was created 5k years ago.

You know whats historic, as in a part of history, as in dead?

The religious right social conservative movement.

RIP Fuckers!

Condi is a smart woman. She's pro choice. Put your politics aside and recognize greatness.

i have a serious question

if the first black president were a conservative or moderate REPUBLICAN.....would there be this much harmony and tear shedding by black people and would it be as historic??

i dont recall the outcry of "historic" significance when clarance thomas was nominated for the supreme court (in fact i recall a smear campaign on his character) and i dont really recall the "historic" significance when condolesa rice was appointed sec of state, after colin powell.

It's just like the Palin thing...it's only seen as a plus if you are on board with the agenda. Women are the big losers in this election - first Hillary and then Palin and the way both were villified. We may not see another one on a ticket for a long time.

Palin vilified herself.... She was a desperate republican attempt for a long shot splash to try to win this election..They knew they were done a long time ago.. They were hoping for a breath of fresh air. A miracle.. It didn't happen. She would of never been the choice for VP if she wasn't attractive..

And for Hilary.. For me she just seems like a dominating bossy cunt. We all have had one as girlfirend in our lives and we (men) despise that, hell some of you married that type of woman and have been beaten down for years. So what I am trying to say is that she just seemed to have the personality of a woman that you want to be around.. Wouldn't want to be in the same room with.. Makes a male voter uneasy I would think. A bit shovenistic but realistic?
