One thing I learned in the last week handicapping Hollywood Park. On any grass race ,and I mean any, you better bet Alex Solis and I dont care if he is riding a donkey. Nobody can ride on the weeds like he can, nobody!!!!!!!!!!!!
Make sure you take a long look at Kent D. He seems to be recognized as the best out there on the grass. P. Val on a speed horse is also worth a long look. Somehow he seems to get them to carry their speed further than most others. This becomes even more significant when they move to the smaller track at S.A.
Jock colony on the west coast is the best in the country in my opinion.
penguin,agree pat v. seems to be a factor in any race,might have been one of best if could stay off the drugs,maybe he's got it licked this time.also like m.smith on a speed horse.read somewhere that the master of pace eddy d.will try a comeback for s.a.,cant wait for s.a., opens 12/26!:grins:
