Where it is real F ing COLD
Do you have a loved one who receives home care such as just visits or 24 hour home care? I only work in the home care setting and I recently obtained another client through another company. (Word of mouth) I noticed that this company is a little bit whack on some things and maybe too complacent and I also noticed that they excel in others that could be valuable resource for the other companies I work for.

Are you content with the care your loved ones receive or have received? Do you feel that the company or nurses have become complacent or do not meet your needs? Do they seem to listen and act on the questions you or the client has and put forth effort to answer questions? Would you be willing to pay a fee for an independent company to evaluate the care and maybe offer advice or questions you should be asking? Kind of like a quality assurance. It is easy to get complacent and home care companies seem to be behind the times as the medical profession continues to evolve and they really don't have much out there to keep them in check. Thoughts would be welcomed.

I have a home health aid that visits my mother twice weekly at 4 hours each day. She takes mom to her weekly doctor, hair, and nail appointments. She also takes mom where ever she wants to go shopping for food or to the mall. There needs to be more companies out there to offer these services as the baby boomers get older, just my opinion. I pay the service 15.00 per hour plus mileage and this takes a good bit of burden from my wife and I so that we can spend quality time with her vs performing all tasks. The aid also will prepare meals and does a light cleaning around her home. Mom enjoys this!!!!
She is 81 and does not need assisted living help at this point. No help bathing ect.... :0008
