Aguilar just didn't understand the format . Took way to much time dicking around in the box

Thanks to Harper (won't here me say that very often) the night should end positive...Aguilar acted like it was celebrity batting practice. He either didn't want to be there or he is one dumb son bitch but probably a bit of both

something I wrote before last years all star game

something I wrote before last years all star game

2018 All Star Game

Few interesting facts that I have always used...The AL has won 16 of the last 20 all star games (this includes the elusive tie that changed the all star game format in 2003)...

You have to go back to 2005 to find the last all star game that scored more than 9 runs, in that time frame (11 games) 7 of the games scored 7 runs or less...Scoring in the 1st inning, it has gone yes 3 years in a row...I will most likely be on a live in play after the first inning, when there has been no score in the 1st inning (5 times in the last 10 years) the total never went over 7...Even with a scoreless 1st inning you should be able to get 7.5 or better live in play...When there has been a score in the 1st inning (5 times in the last 10 years) the total never went over 9...

The stakes aren't the same in the game itself with home field advantage being taken out, however there is something to play for that I believe will be more important to players than home field advantage...The winners will get $20,000 and the losers nothing...it doesn't sound like much when your talking about guys who make 10's of millions of dollars a year but imagine sitting down to play a heads up poker game for $20,000???...I think it is a much greater motivation for every player in the dugout not just the ones on the best teams...I could be totally off my rocker but that's my feeling on the situation...

Last angle I will be analyzing is H+R+E's, as of this morning the total is set at 26.5...below is a what the game totals for H+R+E's have come out too...the results kinda speak for themselves...I believe the reason for the lower numbers has to do with the way the game has changed offensively...you have more and more hitters using the all or nothing approach, fewer guys hitting for average...most of the guys in the lineup for both sides fall into this category

2016...28
2015...24
2014...24
2013...15
2012...24
2011...23
2010...18
2009...22
2008...39
2007...29

To sum it up I will be on...

*The American League or nothing
*I will play the under live after the first inning (if I cannot get 7.5 or better no play)
*I will play H+R+E's under
