I would say Honus was on the 'right' side of the Por/Sac total. The game was in the 170's with under a minute to go. Several 3's and a bunch of fouls/free throws in the final minute put the game into overtime at 194. While you won the bet (check the final minute play-by-play to see how extremely fortunate you were), I think it's clear that Honus was on the right side here.

Honus is one of the best cappers at Madjacks. He's one of the few posters whose picks I check regularly. He's mentioned using SIA. I can vouch for their crazy lines. I wish I could still use them, but I was booted once I reached their winnings threshold of 15k.

Good luck with your plays.

I agree that HONUS is a good handicapper

My problem with HONUS is with the variance in his line with the current line at every other office. He is constantly 1 1/2 to 2 points off the number. As soon as I posted my 1st play as Honus Jr it took about 5 minutes for someone to question where I got MY line from.

No one EVER questioned HONUS until I did

Maybe 1-2 points mean nothing to you but they do to me

I disagree with the under in that game being on the "right side". yes, it took a very fortunate last 1 minute of play to get it into overtime.

But if these two teams were to play again, do you really think both teams will miss 22-FT's combined in regulation, and Sacramento will have its poorest shooing % in 4 years? If either of those two were even slightly below average but not to that exterme the game goes over easily.

It's very easy to look at the last minute, or last drive, or last play, but I try to look at the big picture, b/c the first bucket can be as important as the last bucket. If these two teams were to play again I'd definitely take the OVER. Up-tempo teams tend to play worst defense vs. teams with poor records, especially at home. They don't fear the other team so they rely on greater offense than defense. Also Portland scored 112 and 98 vs. Sacramento earlier in the year. Yes, hindsight is 20/20 but I think the "right side" of the game was indeewd the over. The way to qualify that is to ask yourself "if these same two teams played under the same circumstances 10 more games, how many would go over?"
