This is my first college basketball pick post on here, so here it goes.

The only reason I can think the line is so low on this game is that IU has Kentucky coming to town this weekend, and they must think IU is going to look past the Sycamores. IU suffered from a Duke hangover against Eastern Michigan on Saturday night. If this is last season, I would almost be tempted to take ISU, but after watching Killingsworth (Big 10 Player of the Week for the 2nd time already) against Duke, there is no way possible ISU gets closer than 20 to the Hoosiers. The Sycamores will have a slight height advantage and other than playing at home, that will be the only advantage they have. The Hoosiers bench is just too deep and this game could be ugly mid-way through the 2nd Half. I see the Hoosiers scoring in the low 80s and don't see ISU getting much more than 50. Makes the o/u a tight call, but I see the under just making it.

My picks:

Hoosiers -6.5 and under 139

Good Luck to everyone tonight. :em71:

I also like Kansas -3, Iowa +1 and Michigan St. +2.

I love reading post like this. Some times you see a thread started to back team (A) but it makes great counter points for team (B). ISU has a slight height advantage, they are home, and IU has not done well in recent history before Kentucky, and the only reason you can find to explain the low line is...................... How many times have we all thought that a line was to low and they don't cover ? The line may be what it is because these two have played close games over the last 7 or 8 yrs. & this is Indiana basketball.

Take it easy on a first time poster dude. :scared I had a previous post regarding this game that I didn't include in this post, and that's my fault. Int that post I stated that IU is a more physical and athletic team that has a deeper bench. Also I have two words for you... Marco Killingsworth. My point in mentioning the two advantages for ISU were more tongue in cheek (sarcasm) than anything else. I was stating those were the ONLY two advantages the Sycamores have. IU has blown out their four "weak" teams this year. Tonight it's # 5. IU wins this game going away.

Tide, you are right it is a trap. IU's #'s are distorted with 100 pt games against W ILL , FLA A&M, Nicholls st. If ever a team matched up with IU,it's ISU. That slight size advantage gets bigger with out Kline. He may not go. Bigfella, if you roll with the tide tonight, hope you have the cash to get back home, where ever that is. My point was, some guys come on and try to convince themselves they have a solid play, case in point, read my sunday thread scott-atlanta says.

Agent 0659,look at the time line, read my post # 2 and tell me it deserves the response in post # 3 and # 6 ? Even after all that I try to help these two sharpies out with solid information in post #9. What did we learn last night : IU does not have a deep bench, the size advantage was not slight, when Kline is out don't consider IU against decent teams. IU had KIllingsworth and Allen, 6-7 & 6-10 / ISU had Tunnell,Wurtz,Yelovich,Evans, 6-8,6-8,6-10-,6-7....... If you see something that is way off, I think someone should point it out for the good of the forum. So what makes me the asshole and not you ? If you read this thread from top to bottom , I think there was only one guy who made any sense. I just took it where they wanted it to go.
