Not much of a card tonight.......

The Hornet/6'er game couldn't 'cap out any closer....and....with an injured Ray Allen the linesmen can't even get a line up on the Buck/Suns.

-Satistically both NO and Philly are mirror images:

*96.1 ppg each
*43% FG% each
*77% FT shooting each
*NO a tad better on 3 balls 38% to 31%
*44 Rebounds/game each
*with Philly a slight lead in steals and NO a slight lead in blocked shots

VERY EVENLY MATCHED TEAMS......who played last Tues. to a Hornet 99-98 victory!

-NO is only 2-3 on the road beating NY and Clev for the 2 w's.

-Philly is undefeated at home.

-Both teams are playing their 3'rd in 4 days......with the 6'ers going B-to-B after a real early game in Tornoto yesterday. That game was hardly what I'd consider a "real energy expender" as far as the 6'ers were concerned.

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

It all boils down to the fact I don't like laying the -3' in a game where the teams are this close nor do I like taking +3' on a team that is 2-3 on the road (with NY & Clev being the only road victims).

A close game tonight might result in late game fouling (like in Tor yesterday) and an over the 185. Last Tuesday it was 99-98 AND both teams are averaging a nice 96.1 ppg.

I don't believe tired shooting legs come into play in this game......give me the Over 185. GL

YTD...14-4
LN.....1-0

Sonics...+7'...W

"Strength and Honor" gentlemen......with comments appreciated. ez

since EZ wanna interaction Ez gets interaction ..

Mebbe the reason no one wanna write anythin in Ez's thread is bcoz Ez has covered most points and got the right call :)

:hail :hail EZ :hail :hail

U r right that Rators hardly "extended" the Sixers yesterday. The journey is not long so shud not have any effect.

Brown, Magloire and Mashburn crashing the offensive board. I see NO getting a lot more offensive rebounds in this one resulting in easy putbacks. Works fine for the Over. Good shooting guards on both sides. the Big Mac and Van Horne have stepped up their scoring.

I see the total going around 190. The game is going to be close so yes .. the late fouls will be there. Unlike the Bucks and Lakers who missed a whopping 18 free throws in second half this one shud go over pretty good. U know Iverson is gonna get his points and Wesley and Davis and Mashburn along with PJ Brown shud provide the offence.
Cheers and good luck
Spock

Thanks for posting your opinions. Got action at 183!

To answer your questions I definately always read your writeups and it doesnt matter how long it is I would still read it. I'm still learning and often pick and copy stuff from cappers I respect when they post new angles or explain how they made the selection that they did. I'm really grateful to those who have time to explain their reasoning. That being said im surprised to see reasoning behind picks on a consistant basis just because of the amount of time it must take. I applaud you for that and understand if sometime in the future you just dont have the time for such.

Thanks again. :D

I don't post a whole lot but wanted to respond to your questions.

First off, i always look for your threads. I am still a newbie, still trying to figure things out. I love your thread cause i will always get a detailed write up, that way if i decide to play the game i know why. Not a knock to anyone without a writeup, i know it takes a long time, but i do appreciate it when i can get it.

I don't post cause i never really know how guys feel about people posting in their threads. If you don't care then i will just cause i love to talk over games and see where things went right or wrong.

The length of the writeup never matters, i read the whole thing.

So keep up the good work man, and good luck tonight.

Also, one last note, i love the fact you don't play a whole lot of games, helps me out. I am in the process of trying to cut down on my games.

Thanks for the conversation........

Thanks for the conversation........

this is more like it! Several heads are always better than one.

bad......it's easier for me to be real thorough on a couple of plays...rather...than skim through a whole bunch of plays I don't have the MENTAL capacity to comprehend.

Everyone needs to 'capp their games they way they feel most confident in and comfortable with.

To each his own.....I'll not condem anyone playing a lot of games. I just know what has happened to me when I've played too many......the books had my head on a plater!!!!

I'm always a dead Gladiator when I try fight'n too many battles at one time. Let me concentrate on a linesmen weakling and use it for the next notch on ye 'ol sword. ;) ez

Glad that we are on the same side. I recall that quite a bit last year! :) I'm back from my week of not betting so we'll see how it goes. On one hand I missed it and on the other hand it wasn't all that bad. A break can be good. It just sucks when you see a line, make a call and it's right...and you don't have any coin on it.

Thanks for your kindness gentlemen.........

Thanks for your kindness gentlemen.........

we're all in here to work together. I don't consider this be a "ONE MAN WINNER" ego trip. Heck, there were a lot of great cappers on this over like......MikeMagic, Spock, Roger, Dragon, Guns, jimizeus, Toronto-Vig, mj, Wolf and even others I might have missed. (Sorry if I did miss you!)

CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYBODY ON THE OVER LAST NIGHT!

However.....the guy I want to acknowledge the most is gsp.....the guy made me stop and think. I respect him GREATLY as a 'capper and he was on the other side with some sound logic (not just another pick thrown out there).

Joe forced me to reconsider my position in light of his thought processes......then allowed me to counter with several different takes on his logic without taking it personal.

Heck......I hope gsp got some good outa my input in his thread by maybe making his under play a little more conservatively. You see it's a win-win for everybody when we can agree to disagree using sound logic in an open forum debate.

gsp.....your the "man-of-the-hour" my friend! :)

--------------------------------------------------

To respond to redking and HITMAN's replies in the other thread (no need to bump it up)......

redking.....sound advice if ya like your BR!

HITMAN......I agree....sometimes analysis can be very frustrating when an "unlucky" break goes against ya (as you said it's part of the game). However, using some trends, angles or analysis are useful in helping you....

1) For starters....first determine whether to even make the play in the first place (unless ya just need the thrill of gamble'n).

2) Helps you make a judgement on how big the play should be (unless your a "flat" bettor).

I agree...games can be over analyzed....been there done that! BUT the flip side of that are picks without any analysis or logic as to why?????

I'd prefer to error on the side of over analysis for success in the long run. Whenever ya don't 'capp the games you play (or at least know why someone else liked the play)........you have no idea why you won or lost....and normally end up just chalk'n it up to the "unlucky" breaks.

Nuff of that.......thanks to every poster in MJ's Free Throws Forum......especially you Joe!! ez
