To Hot for You - Takes a big class drop into a NW2L condition; when in doubt, you can do worse than bet Mike Mitchell.

Moscow Rising - Tepid chalk is another taking a necessary class drop; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip.

Long Shot - Cali Girl

Race 2 - 1 mile, Purse $53,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 2-year-olds

Pure Class - Made my horses to watch list in debut; missed the break, rallied wide on own to split the field.

Seriously - Logical chalk showed big improvement in second start; she'll need to improve again to graduate.

Long Shot - Star of Sapphire

Race 3 - 1 mile, $85,000 Adoration, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Hot n' Dusty - Dead late closer will be flattered by a fast pace scenario; Alex Solis rally from last to first.

Victorina - Draw a line thru the last turf race and her resume looks great; offers fine value at 5/1 odds.

Long Shot - Dawn Before Dawn

Race 4 - 1 mile, Purse $60,000, Optional claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up

Joshua's Dream - Want to see a wide trip, watch his last race; claimed by Jerry Hollendorfer, can only improve.

Yankee Visionary - We'll see if a late closing sprinter can pack the same punch around 2-turns; Garrett Gomez finds out.

Long Shot - Chestnut Touch

Race 5 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $51,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up

Barbaric - Gate work on Aug. 22 tells me he's ready to fire; not as much talent in her as one might think.

Exile - Logical chalk was involved early on, but finished greenly; bred to be a sprinter type, this is up his alley.

Grace Upon Grace - Big rider switch to Garrett Gomez who is riding hot now; tactical speed to sit a nice trip.

Yogaroo - Can be excused for a miserable try at Ascot; returns to synthetics where he ran like a champ.

Long Shot - John Scott

Race 7 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $51,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds

Indian Firewater - Exits a fast paced MSW debut race; Bob Baffert babies improve with racing, expect that here too.

Camp Victory - If any baby is bred speed to speed, it's this colt; might get some value despite obvious pedigree.

Long Shot - Via Verde

Race 8 - 7 furlongs, $300,000 Del Mar Futurity, 2-year-olds

Lookin at Lucky - Not bad for a colt who is still learning how to run; extra distance will only flatter his pedigree.

Sterling Outlook - Bred to be a miler type, this is the time to make hay; was razor sharp in last MSW victory.

Long Shot - Who's Up

Race 9 - 6 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Claiming $12,500, 4-year-olds and up

Going Forward - Lone speed is the best bet in horse racing; if he runs his race, the rest are running for place.

Craig's Storm - Dead late closer will try to catch the target late; no jockey is riding better now than Joel Rosario.

FIRST RACE ? JUNE MY LOVE has found her proper level and a repeat of her good runner-up try vs. similar up north should be good enough to beat this field. IMADETHECASHCALL looked good graduating recently and is a fit on speed figures. Rosario rides her back for Kitchingman. TO HOT FOR YOU tries an easier gang, figures to press the pace, and may stick around for a share. Long shot: Lovely Lolly.

SECOND RACE ? SERIOUSLY tipped her hand when second in a similar maiden affair last month and stretches out to a distance she should like. The daughter of Gulch looks ready to graduate. DIXIE'S SANDALS, a solid third in her only outing, should appreciate the added ground and this barn usually does well with stretch-out plays. PURE CLASS, a closing fifth after a slow start in her debut, seems sure to improve with experience and distance. Long shot: Saint Isabelle.

THIRD RACE ? DAWN BEFORE DAWN returns to the main track, tries an easier gang, and looks capable of dominating this field from gate to wire. RAINBOW'S SONG stretches out after a game score sprinting vs. softer. With continued improvement, she'll be a factor right back. HOT N'DUSTY, genuine and consistent, figures in the fray once again. Long shot: Flashover.

FOURTH RACE ? JOSHUA'S DREAM, first off the claim for Hollendorfer, is ambitiously placed in this first level allowance affair but retains Rosario and is a solid fit on numbers. He seems capable of producing the last run. CHESTNUT TOUCH is a decent Bay Area invader with competitive numbers and should be prominent throughout. YANKEE VISIONARY, in the money in his last four starts, figures for at least a piece of it again today. Long shot: Deal Breaker.

FIFTH RACE ? RAISE THE RIVER is a long time maiden and overdue for a win. He's back sprinting where he seems most comfortable and beats these with his best effort. ZULU KING is a first timer from the Headley barn with a healthy series of workouts. He looks like a live item. MEGASTAR has winning connections and sharp works but must overcome the rail. Long shot: Barbaric.

SIXTH RACE ? GRACED UPON GRACE just missed by a neck in the Graduation Stakes earlier this month, switches to Gomez, and gets a chance to make amends for his failure as the favorite. WOLF TAIL sprung a 17-1 surprise in the Graduation and has trained solidly since. He's a threat right back. DAYLIGHT STORM beat a starter's allowance field recently in good style and might be this good. Long shot: Bertran Hill.
SEVENTH RACE ? INDIAN FIREWATER, fourth in a fast, highly-rated race in his debut, seems sure to improve for Baffert and seems ready to graduate. FRISCO KID has worked nicely for Headley, seems plenty fit, and could come out firing. CRAGMONT is another Headley first-timer and gets the outside post and Rosario. He's worth using in the exotics. Long shot: Via Verde.

EIGHTH RACE ? LOOKIN AT LUCKY is unbeaten in two starts for Baffert and should enjoy this extended sprint distance. He's the one to beat again despite the rail. SMILING TIGER may be the quickest in the field and will take them as far as he can. STERLING OUTLOOK looked very good graduating recently and with another forward mover today he'll be right there. Long shot: Zip Quick.

NINTH RACE ? GOING FORWARD drops for the money run and should be too quick for this moderate claiming field. CRAIG'S STORM beat a softer field from off the pace and a similar effort today makes him a bold threat right back. ALL MONEY NO LOVE is a class dropper with a win over this track earlier this meeting and is worth considering in the exotics. Long shot: So Bewarned.

10TH RACE ? CARDIFF GIANT, first off the claim for Periban, should appreciate the added distance and seems as good as any in an open event. ZEES ECHO, third in a similar spot, won't have to improve much to take it all. MR MUNSEY has worked okay and this barn excels with debut runners. Long shot: Gilligan.
