I have to go with Houston. Houston is a very hot ballclub playing a team that they regulary beat the s!!t out of an a yearly basis. I love Mark Prior, but he will be on a strict pitch count ( I'm guessing 95-105) that means that the Cubs vaunted bullpen will come into play. Add in that the wind is blowing out to left (10-15 mph) I think Houston does what they always seem to do.... pound the Cubs. Hou 200/270 :D :D

The Chicago Tribune yesterday came out with a big story how the Cubs would be watching Prior closely and monitoring both pitch counts and innings. But in today's Chicago Sun-Times, it sounds like a completely different story:

"We're not planning on cutting back his innings, " said pitching coach Larry Rothschild. "Nothing has changed," said manager Bruce Kimm.

Both Kimm and Rothschild came under criticism recently after Prior had a 136 pitch effort.

I truly beleive the decsion on Prior's work load lies with Jim Hendry and Andy McPhail. If Hendry and McPhail allow another young ace to blow out his arm, they will be out of a job. McPhail should have got the axe in 98'. He almost ruined Wood's career to win a wildcard. I just don't see that happening again.... but we are talking about the Cubs ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! ;)

Hey Ridge, what's up? Noticed you were from dallas too.

i am on the under as well. looks like pitchers are beginning to settle in a bit.

i just hope the cubs don't pull prior and let the bp blow the total

RockBone,

I agree.... High Pitch count.....

Hopefully that homerun from Bagwell is a sign of things to come.

Vegas just put out the Odds of the Cubs bullpen holding the lead with two innings to go....

Bullpen to give up at least two runs -750
Bullpen to blow game all together -300

LMAO
