Wanted to get input on this game from the great cappers here.
My take:
I am a Houston Texans season ticket holder. I have watched all there preseason games. Houston defense did not stop any of their oppenents first team offenses. Capers 3-4 defense relies on blitzing to stop opposing teams, but our defensive line sucks, so the linebackers are unprotected. I believe our corners our over rated. Aaron glenn & Coleman were released from the Jets for a reason! We have some good LB's, but as I said before our D-line is not good. Our opponents 1st teams ran the ball down our throat!
Offensively, the O-line is in shambles, Bosselli (maybe damaged goods) & Young our stating tackles are out. Steve Mckinney our center is playing hurt (calf) Shau a starting guard is out (knee). Our LT is a good prospect, but he's a rookie Our RG Fred Weary is a rookie.
The Texans had no running game when playing opponents 1st team. Jonathan Wells is a good back, but again the line is decimated. The receivers are not NFL starting caliber. Cory Bradford has wheels, he's the best. Jermaine Lewis drops too many & Jabbar gafney is a rookie. Our TE's are pretty good.
David Carr is the real deal. This guy throws 60 yard BB's. However he is a rookie.
Special Teams for the Texans appear to be pretty good. The K is Kris Brown former Steeler kicker. jermaine Lewis is a great return guy, but he did not take any punts or kick-offs during the pre-season.
Dallas- avgs. almost 330 #'s on O-line. emmit is still decent, even though his backup Hambrick is better. I think dallas runs the ball down our throat.
Dallas has a solid Defense and as previously mentioned the Texans O-line is in shambles.
Botom line - The Texans will be lucky to score 7 -10 points. Dallas needs only 17-20 points to cover. I believe Dallas crushes the Texans by at least 14-21 points. I know 8-9 points is alot to lay with the Cowboys, but the bottom line is the Texans are not yet an NFL caliber team, regardless of who is coaching the team. Hopefully David Carr won't get killed. I believe the Miami Hurricanes could play the texans tough.
Dallas 27 - 10.
Good luck to all!!
