does the clock not stop for a 1st down in American conf?

noticed it ran in the 1st Q and has done on every first down since.

maybe the clock operator is just clueless but wondered if this might be a conference specific rule?

The rule is...

The rule is...

The clock stops just for ball placement and chain movement.. once that is done the play is whistled back in and the clock begins to roll. 1st downs are not equivalent to going out of bounds or incomplete passes. This is the same in all NCAA football.

I know what the rule is, thanks. But the clock is not stopping at all even to move the chains. It carries on running in this game.
