laying 25 is a lot, but SMU sucks. they really suck. Matt Davis actually isn't a bad QB, he is pretty talented and has some wheels, but his supporting cast absolutely blows. Houston defense should have a field day getting into the backfield as SMU is the most sacked team in the country. They gave up 7 sacks last week, and while I do not expect the same, I still expect Houston to be able to get into the backfield as they are 19th in the country averaging just over 3 sacks per game. I think the SMU line will play a bit better because they were demolished last week, but when they get behind and have to pass, Houston will bring the pressure. If SMU wants any chance at all they will need to have success running the ball, and they were awful running the ball last week and now they face a rush D giving up less than 2.5 yards per carry. Might be a very long night for the Stangs.
SMU was absolutely obliterated last week by the read option. James Summers came in at QB for ECU in the 2nd quarter and ECU rolled from that point on. They gashed the Mustangs for over 300 yards on the ground. SMU will not contain Greg Ward Jr. Ward is a legit heisman candidate and he will have a field day against this SMU defense.
