recommendations?? looking for something hopefully $175 per night or less CDN......would like it to be somewhere near the airshow, but that isn't necessary. hot tub availability preferred, and in room would be best. swimming pool, and suite with kitchen would be fantastic, but unlikely at the price i'm willing to pay....LOL

The CNE isn't in a great area of town so I think I'd stay downtown. Here are some hotel suggestions that are down on the lake so you'll see some of the air show even near your hotel.

- Based on what you've asked for check this place out. It's cheap too at $149 per night.

Bahama the Delta East isn't even remotely close to where you want to be. That hotel is in Scarborough which aside from not being a recommended area of Toronto is also about 15-20 miles from downtown. Look at it this way - it would be like wanting to be close to Broadway shows and staying in Queens.

Some other downtown hotels that are nice include
- The Westin Harbour Castle
- Crown Plaza
- Holiday Inn on King (a damn nice holiday inn) and
- Sheraton Downtown

I would avoid the Royal York as it's a fancy shmancy (or pretends to be), old peace of crap.

Check out www.toronto.com and go to hotels. All of them are listed there.

MAMA,
Check THE GRAND. It is downtown-very nice place of the main street. 2 minutes from Eaton Centre. For like $110 US-we got a very nice room-GREAT INDOOR pool. Outdoor Jacuzzi on the roof over looking Toronto-Parking and a wonderful free breakfast.
Just a thought-check the website.
