Play this game strong gang. Uconn owns Rutgers.
They have built a nice homefield advantage over there in Connecticut. Randy E has built a nice program over there also.

It wont matter Saturday. Uconn is starting true frosh and third string qb against the much improved rutgers defense. This is not the same Uconn team that went to a bowl last year at the expense of Rutgers. They lost orlovsky and their 2 best wr's to graduation. The rb's at Uconn are good but I expect Rutgers D to make the rook beat them.

Newsflash: He cant

Rutgers minus 3 game of the year

Clem, will Rutgers be able to continue to stop the run throughout the game or will their D-Line wear down as it goes on. Another words are they a light group?

UConn uses 3 backs, Terry Caulley, Cornell Brockington and Lou Allen(I think thats his name), with Caulley getting most of the work, so they always have fresh legs.

What about this 3rd string QB? Do you know anything about him, is he a thrower or a runner?

Good luck with your play, hope you crush it or SMASH it. :142lmao:

clem, i have played rutgers everytime you have this year. not saying i disagree with the play, but play of the year? I tied my biggest play of the year on rutgers when pitt came to town several weeks ago, and i took them vs west va. I am not saying this can be a decent play, but on the road against a team who can run the ball, not so sure it is right for a monster play. good luck to you, i always enjoy reading your posts.

It doesn't have to be your play of the year but it is mine.

UConn is not nearly as good as last year, and Rutgers is far better than they were last year.

Good luck

Good Luck Clem!

I agree with you on this one and although I figured I'd just play one play on the College side this week...I just might put some coin on this one.

My take on the va tech game.. I think Va tech will get caught sleepwalking through the first half.. Looking ahead to dates with boston college, miami, and virginia in the next three. marylands QB is a star in the making and has gotten better each week. Big ralph is a good coach in this type of spot at home. Think he will have his boys flying high here, however vtech should do enough to steal one on the road.

va tech 28-23

taking maryland and buying a full point
+10.5 (-130)

so glad you have Rutgers as your GOY as it is my biggest play since I played Oregon +21 BIG over USC (nightmare that turned into after being up 10-0 straight up and USC scored like 45 straight)...Love Rutgers in this spot, the books finally are catching on the fact that this team can flat out PLAY this year and are giving Rutgers a rare road chalk over a conference foe..but the points wont even matter in this one, UCONN flat out sucks as of late and only ruined Syracuse because of their running game against a horrid Syracuse D that is arguabley the worst major conference school in the NCAA this year...UCONN will not be able to match the firepower Rutgers will bring this weekend as their QB can't make plays, and Rutgers is riding a big wave of confidence after several strong wins, only to lose to a much more talented WV squad last week...I think Rutgers proves a point in this game, on their way to a bowl game at seasons end...GL Clem, lets go SCARLET KNIGHTS

clem, youre a very sharp capper, thus im a bit surprised to see a game of the year on a team laying road chalk with a redshirt freshman at quarterback. theres a reason he is starting over hart - he is definitely the future of the program. but uconn's defense is very good. its not quite as dominant as the national rankings indicate, but its still very good imo. a lot is being made of uconn being without bonislawski and hernandez, but theyve got the luxury of handing the ball off to brockington and caulley. so they wont be totally helpless. i absolutely see your reasoning behind the knights, but simply think there are 20 better games out there that are easier to cap. ill have no stake in the game, so will be pulling for you guys.

Ct's biggest losses are at linebacker...Taurien Sowell and Danny Lansannah...Cincinnatti made hay when these guys went down last week...add the loss of cornerback Ernest Cole to the QB situation and you have a strong argument against CT who may have lost this one with everyone healthy.. That said...I'm buying my Rutgers +1.5 back at CT +3.5 aqnd playing for the middle.
