Not picking a side, just info.

Last game in Denver

10/15/06 OAK 3 - DEN 13 OAK 14.5 U 37

Line isn't off much if you consider 3 pts for home field.

14' @ Denver

change the field 6 pt difference would be 8' @ Oakland

This would have been run up to 9 real quick, so they opened it at 9. I was on Denver in the 1st game and they did not score a single pt in the 2nd half at home. Shannahan will grind it out on the ground once they get the lead b/c Plummer no matter how well he's played the last few weeks it still a liability in the air. Oak took two picks to the house against the Steelers in their last home game.

Denver will not lose this game, no way........they just might not cover being that they are on the road.

I could see them winning this game something like 20-13.

I do think they should cover, but you never know with them.

Personally, I will put them in a teaser and knock the line down to even.

On The Other Side
Denver isn't that great on the road? How many teams in the NFL own a 3-1 road record? I don't want to hear anything about the Broncos' road schedule! It is extremely difficult to win on the road in the NFL, no matter who you play. Just ask the Bears how easy it was to get a win in Arizona.

some food for thought....the #1 concensus road team at ********* has NOT covered in 8 of 9 weeks. Guess who is this week's #1 road concencus team....that's right, the Denver Broncos. it's Oakland or stay away. Usually the hardest bets to make are the ones that cash.

gl on whatever you decide.

Exactly! Why would anyone bet a team that is favored by that many points on the rd? denver just isnt that good to do so. Plummer absolutely sucks and he will give the Raiders a TD which may keep the game close. I wouldnt touch the Broncos here in an inter divisional letdown game. Goodluck

HELL
Denver's second week on the road coming off two emotional games with Indy and revenge win against Pittsburgh. Everyone saw how pathetic Oakland was Monday night and what a coincedence they hang a 9 out there, convenient for those of use that bet through locals to tease it down to -2 maybe. I never was a big fan of a -8 or 9. I ask myself often why not just make the line -10, because as many of you have mentioned Denver is already being bet at a pretty good clip. IMO, Denver comes out flat and Oakland stays within the number.

how do you bet oakland? you sack it up and become a true contrarian. everyone talks about fading the public .... and then the convince themselves theyre anti-public by playing undefeated denver against indianapolis or something to that effect, or undefeated rutgers against louisville. but these denver-oakland games are the ones when the real contrarians, not the 'nouveau anti-public', stand up and back an ugly dog.

Great post gman.

I didn't pick them in the handicapping contest, but I'm leaning hard on taking the Raiders.

As it turns out, Baltimore ended up being the #1 concensus road team at wagrline, Denver #2, however it did not matter as both cashed if you faded the road concensus.
