Is cable really that much faster than dsl? It sure looks like it from the numbers in this thread.

I currently have sprint dsl at home and at work and both came in at around 475kb, but i'm going to try the cable modem when I move in a few weeks (was going to do it before this thread, but it seems like a good idea after seeing this).

I always thought dsl and cable were basically the same speed. I guess that's not the case, huh?

35 kb's. Checked with 2 friends who also use this ISP and they are about the same. This sucks. I'm going to get cable.

Hey Penguinfan, can you tell me a little bit more about your internet connection? What cable company? I did a search on Zoom Cable and it's just a company that makes cable modems. What am i missing?

Redking, it's actually armstrong utilities who provides the cable internet here, zoom is just the name they give it.
