Are they as good as the media protrayed them? Where should they be ranked with all the other big favorites in the past Super Bowl games?

The way I see it they are pretty close to the top of the list. I really can't remember when such a heavily favored team laid such a egg. Even when the Jets beat the Colts in SBIII, I think that the the Jets had a much better team than the media said, they had several future hall of famers on that team.just because they were in the old AFL, a no respect thing. In fact I don't see how the Rams can be rated so early (now) to win it next year.

It seems like when a team has a dominant offense they are always consider a great team. But teams like last years Ravens squad are only considered a great defense and not a great team.
Defense definately wins super bowls.
The media talks about the Rams like they're one of the best teams ever, but they barely beat the Titans and lost to an average NE team. Good defensive teams are figuring out the Rams unstopable Offense and Warner is getting the crap beaten out of him. I predict the Rams will be heading south, as a team.
Sure, the Rams have scored 500+ points , for a few years, but parity causes offensive and defensive extremes.

I think the Rams are almost as good as New England. About a 3 point spread I would say.
