Can someone please explain to me how the university of miami is a favorite over Virginia? Virginia only has 1 loss and that is at Notre dame. On the other hand, Um has lost to virginia tech, barely beat central michigan. Please help me understand it

No I agree with your thinking. It's a strange line. I think it will come down the closer it gets to the game.

the hurricanes and their new coach diaz certainly have their woes, but first note that miami had 4 (count them 4) turnovers in the 1st QUARTER! after diaz made the change to perry at qb, he went 28/47 for 422 and 4 tds in less than 3 quarters. as of yesterday diaz says that williams will remain the starting qb, but we'll see how that develops during the week. in any event, it would be a mistake to write off the canes season at this point. two losses does not put them out of the acc coastal division race, and the cavs are traveling in the short week. it is unlikely the will be able to rush the ball in miami. i'm a homer but i think this is a sucker line.

just the other side of the coin. all that being said, miami's biggest problems are the young linebackers making bad reads and a porous offensive line. they don't do something to fix that and it wont matter who's under center when the the hoos bring a jailbreak.
and on cue, miami announces perry will start a qb. the total was down to 43 at my book so i took a flyer on the over. just feel that number gonna head back up.
