Not that South Carolina is a major football program (or at least didn't act like it this year), but I ALWAYS wonder why we can't get a decent kicker. You can hear everyone in the stadium holding their collective breath everytime our kicker kicks AN EXTRA POINT. I completely agree with you.
All these schools that have kickers that suck should just go over to soccer practice and put a few of them in pads.
Glad to hear that this bothers somebody other than me. It is inexcusable for high profile schools that have in excess of 100 guys to not have a guy that can kick field goals or punt. Yet year after year we see teams that won't even try anyn field goal over 40 yards and can't punt more than 35 yards.
Add Dusty Mangum from Texas to this list. I remember he sucked bad when they played Okie, and he is still terrible. <50% from 30-39 yards. That blows!
