Cal State Fullerton +16
I would've taken this if the spread were 8. Fullerton lost the Wazzu transfer Akognon to graduation. He was their offense. Guy was 6th in the nation in % of team shots taken while on the floor. I think it helps Fullerton that Howland and UCLA don't have 1 offensive player to key their gameplan on. This is an athletic and balanced team. They are predicted to finish in the bottom of the big west, but I really feel like this is a bad matchup for UCLA.

UCLA has 3 seniors in Roll, Keefe, Dragovic. Normally a Pac-10 team with 3 seniors in the starting lineup would be looking to roll. None of these 3 are impact players. UCLA is a young team and Howland is realistically looking at a deep tournament run next season. 9 of the 12 scholarships are frosh/soph. Guard play and specifically PG play is the weakness of this squad. Holiday leaving early really hurt this team. Anderson is the starter and he just isn't ready. Lee will provide scoring on the perimeter and Gordon will score on second chance opportunities but UCLA doesn't have a post presence. I think Fullerton will zone the Bruins tonight. Way too many points.

Will be back with more later

Cal State Northridge +2

They played as I expected them to vs Purdue. They now go on the road and are a small dog. TCU is just not a good basketball team. They had their hands full with D-II Mid-America Christian. TCU and Air Force really hold the MWC conference down in basketball. TCU is a two man team basically. They have the guard Moss and the big Buljan. I just don't know if their coach has the players buying into this system. CSUN just got blitzkrieged to start the Purdue game. Purdue came ready to play. If you can get a ML on this game, I would advise taking it.

Miami Oh +19
Kentucky is going to post a great win/loss record but their lines are going to be over inflated for such a young team because of their "name" Miami Oh came into Pauley Pavillion last year and forced UCLA to play their style. Wall's first game and Calipari will have to decide how much he and Bledsoe can play together.

SDSU +5

Had to wait until I heard if Shelley and White were playing. Both are in and SDSU will go a legit 10 deep tonight. This is Fisher's most athletic team 1-12 at State. St Mary's is far from a pushover. They lose Mills and Simpson but bring in a stud import from Australia in Dellavedova. Allen and Samhan provide a tall frontcourt. These two teams played two hard fought games last year. I envision much of the same tonight.
