HUGE BET ON BUSH!!!!!!!!

Just placed a very large wager on Bush to win the election at Olympic. I got -130 vig and I wagered $1,500 to win $1,153!!!

I think this is a solid bet at -130 price. FL is going Bush way and the way I broke it down, Bush "can" win this election without winning 3-4 states that are considered going either way. That makes this a great bet because what if those 3 or 4 states that could go either way do go for BUSH? Biggest of them all is PA and that is 50/50 and I am NOT counting that state for BUSH! I think BUSH gets both Wisconsin and Florida when I factor in Bush winning without the 3 or 4 other states. This is def. not a slam dunk but I just won $6,500 on the Red Sox so I am pushing my luck with this bet! Bush is getting my vote although Kerry will be winning my state. (CA) :cursin:

I think of this wager like a sporting event. I handicapped it by looking at the polls and listening to the "pundits" and came up with my prediction., As a result, I like my chances at a -130 price. I won with Bush last election (much much smaller winnings) and lost my bet with DEAN winning the dem. nomination. (smaller bet as well)

It's starting to look that way. All these states that always vote Dem are curiously going the other way. It's the 2nd and 3rd debates that sealed the win for Bush.

In the 2nd debate John Kerry said "Iraq was not a threat"....then about 10 minutes later he said "Iraq was a threat"

I think that was the last gasp.

This guy will say anything to get elected and everyone can see right thru it, well, except for the brainwashed liberals who stick thier head in the sand everytime Kerry contradicts himself.

I just need Bush to win PA and this bet should be a lock! Right now it is 50/50, I also could hope for the upset of Ohio for Bush but that is not looking good. But as long as Bush gets FL, Wiscy and CO I should have this bet won!!!!!! I also have a chance for Bush to win 3-4 other states (PA and Ohio included) so that is why I made this bet for this large amount.

I cast my vote for this thread as the most pathetic, inconsequential, and meaningless thread ever posted here at Madjacks involving a back and forth discussion over a bet between two individuals.

One, a pathetic loser gambler, who has made a bet on a political election and is looking for some type of feel good, moral support from anyone for his decision since he is apparently not all that confident in it. And, two, a complete blithering idiot who provides such moral support by saying he has nothing to worry about as this election was over months ago.

The other explanation for this thread is that this idiot is trying to show his bravado by placing a "large" bet on a close election in an attempt to show how confident he is in his guy and to further attempt to persuade anyone who is on the fence as to the confidence he has in his boy getting reelected, hence, the "large" bet.

I'll stop writing now, as I want to continue to be entertained by future posts as we watch Scott and Chuck giving each other mutual blow jobs.

Right now there are about 10 threads with pressing, debatable political issues, most of them dedicated to John Kerry accussing Bush of "blundering" the AlQaQaa weapons dissappearance.

Now there's Pentagon satellite evidence that shows the weapons were removed out by trucks 2 days prior to the US Invasion!!!

I don't understand your explanation to why this thread is pathetic. I wagered on Bush to win the election, I did not say it was a lock (unless Bush wins Ohio or even PA). I have my reasons behind my bet and win or lose I am still up $$$$ for the week because of the Sox. So why is this thread pathetic? Especially since I supported my opinion as to why Bush "may" win?

Hopefully not but I am pretty confident Bush will take Florida. So that is not a big issue with me. Kerry needs Ohio to have a "chance" to win this election. That is why I made the bet. A LOT MORE SCENARIOS FOR BUSH TO WIN! Kerry might win in a very close election or Bush might win comfortably.

It is a risk I am willing to take. I see a lot more ways for Bush winning the election vs Kerry. Bush taking FL gives me a lot of confidence. If Bush somehow takes Ohio it will be a slam dunk! I would not have taken this bet for this large of an amount if I did not win the Red Sox WS bet which I prob. should not have won anyways since they were down 0-3 to Yanks. Plus I didn't hedge so this is sorta like my hedge money that I would have lost. Anyways, I am not gonna lose this bet!
