David Gregory mocked the NRA's Wayne LaPierre for proposing that armed guards be at every school in America. But the NBC host seems to have no problem with armed guards protecting his kids everyday where they attend school in Washington, D.C.

The 11 armed security staff at the school are in addition to the Secret Service detail for Pres. Obama's children.

I don't see it and i'm really surprised you of all people would post this. If you have money and can afford to send your kids to someplace that can afford that kind of protection as well as a better education you do it. Its not feasible to have one armed guard in every school in America. I haven't read the article so maybe i'm wrong but it sounds like that is what you are getting at and I disagree.

It's not just infeasible, it's also unnecessary. You don't spend billions to prevent a couple dozen deaths every couple decades. I know it sounds callous, but actually I bet having armed guards where children are spending their formative years actually would have a negative net effect on them long term.
We are so reactionary as a culture/society.

I think some call this a limousine liberal. They also drive gas guzzling vehicles and tell us we should drive a Honda Fit.

However, I don't think limousine liberal is correct. Because most politicians are guilty of "do as I say not as I do" I will call them a "Politician" It starts out good then they get to D.C. and ...........
