I always hear, Dems have no plan, just one criticize, what's wrong with this plan??

only a couple months ago Biden wanted a huge troop surge

I don't remember Biden saying anything lately about a surge. I know he said many times we went in 50000 short to start and should have corrected that long time ago. Now that civil war is under way. We don't have enough troops to send. And because we stopped to soon where the real terrorist were Afghanistan. We need to send more back there. Two real good plans by this group in W H that have gone wrong way.
Shamrock I said about 6 months ago that Biden was only one that had plan "to win " war on the dem side. His plan back then was unique and certainly worth consideration-- I like his idea of of consentrating on efforts in peaceful areas and keeping base there for long time.

His 5 part plan
First, the plan calls for maintaining a unified Iraq by decentralizing it and giving Kurds, Shiites and Sunnis their own regions. The central government would be left in charge of common interests, such as border security and the distribution of oil revenue.
Second, it would bind the Sunnis to the deal by guaranteeing them a proportionate share of oil revenue. Each group would have an incentive to maximize oil production, making oil the glue that binds the country together.
Third, the plan would create a massive jobs program while increasing reconstruction aid -- especially from the oil-rich Gulf states -- but tying it to the protection of minority rights.
Fourth, it would convene an international conference that would produce a regional nonaggression pact and create a Contact Group to enforce regional commitments.
Fifth, it would begin the phased redeployment of U.S. forces this year and withdraw most of them by the end of 2007, while maintaining a small follow-on force to keep the neighbors honest and to strike any concentration of terrorists.

but,as always,the devil`s in the details...
you have to break down iraq`s oil resources and distribute them evenly......even though no resources lay within areas controlled by certain groups......
a very hard sell....
plus,you have ethnic groups living within ares controlled by other ethnic groups......you`d have to undertake a mass relocation plan....
and who`s to say al qaeda...or the sunni death squads...or iraq....buys into this plan?....

im not sure any plan and it could be the greatest in the world is gonna work if it comes from us. Imagine if this was us and they were making us live by their plan. 80 percent don't want us there to begin with so who are we to give these people our plan? this is what bothers them the most is our constantly meddling in their business. I think i got the best plan. You take this religous bullshit and say no more we are all one in the same. No more religion. Ah let me go talk to Joel Olsteen or what ever his name is and see if this will work. Weasal your right its a hard hard hard sell.
